All those guys were drafted in my league (12 team, 16 rounds). Not much for FAs throughout the year....

We went from a 12 team to a 10 team league this season. Makes a world of difference with more players on the scrap heap.

10 teams would do that, for sure. Right now, I go in with a list of 25 QBs, 65 RBs, 75 WR/TE (we don't have designated TE position), and 25 K. The "traditional" roster has 2 QB, 5 RB, 6 WR/TE, and 2 K, and a random extra player. I say traditional, because if you want to draft 10 RBs, you can, but obviously most don't do something like that.

Looks like I will be in my FFL championship. Team has been on a steamroller express train the past 2 months, hope it can continue for the $$$.

Congrats

The other night when the g family delivered Xmas gift at a nursing home......one of the ladies we met mentioned that she really started to feel old when her child celebrated his 55th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

For fun I kept telling their friends I am 52. :D

When I was in high school we planned a 50th for my maternal grandparents. My grandfather was from Ireland and was quite Catholic - he and my grandmother had 6 kids (smallest family on their block), church every Sunday, old school Irishman. Imagine our surprise when we found their marriage license that showed that they had only been married for 48 years, instead of 49, and that my aunt was born 6 months after their wedding, not 18 months! :D

This has been quite the year for Xmas treats. At work I have probably received close to 30 items from either clients or various businesses. Plates of cookies, tins of various goodies, meat and cheese trays. All sorts of stuff. My favorite so far was a tin of chocolate covered potato chips. That and the assortment of jerky.

The worst thing I have received? One of my favorite clients dropped off a plate of oatmeal raisin cookies in jest.

Today we made a boat load of sugar cookies with the frosting and then the peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses on them.

Wild game on tap tonight and then I might have to check the cabinet to mix myself a tasty beverage.
I think that there's been about 3 party trays worth of cookies brought into work last week. Kinda hard to gauge with some of them being homemade cookies. And there's been a few other cakes and other goodies in as well. I probably have gained about 2 pounds because of that.

And yeah, I totally took out that plate of oatmeal raisin cookies on Tuesday. So Good!!! :D

So you're saying they had to get hitched and then put up with each other for Life?? ;)

Honestly, I don't think so. Though it's possible. Can't ask him now and I wouldn't dare ask my grandmother - she's too proper.

Morning, y'all. Left Mobile around 0030, should get to NOLA this evening. 74 hours or so until I'm headed home, but who's counting? ;)

I found out my Grandmother was a 4 month baby. She told her kids she was a year younger. Figured it out when I was doing the family tree for a grad school project.

Good Morning Lodge. Back in the St. Paul office. Not sure for how long, will meet with the VP sometime today and work it out.

Good job outa you, GE.

By being on the jobsite I missed all the Holiday stuff in this office last week and they didn't do much on the site.:( Not that I need any holiday treats, I think I'm set for hibernation with all my extra fat right now.

Good morning Lodge. Feeling overly anxious this morning due to a variety of reasons. Sitting on the subway train this morning taking some deep breaths. I kinda just want to go home. Two and a half more days of work and then I'm done till January.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #181: Holidaze

Morning peeps. third day of a two week break from teaching. Realized this is the longest break from work I've had since college, not bad!

Tough weekend because we attended a funeral for a 23 year old woman that the wife and I knew. She was the daughter of the wife's coworker and passed away after a traffic accident on Wednesday. First funeral I've been too with someone so young and so unexpected. It was a tough day on Saturday.
