Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

No kidding. I work with some Indians out of their office in Delhi, and they have told me they've never seen snow in their lives. I suggested to them to make a visit here in February, so they can experience sub-zero temps. :p

Which I still find odd, that most people in that area (around Delhi) haven't seen snow. They're a few hours away from snow if they just go a bit north into the Himalayas. Though, as I've seen, that kind of travel in India is a real pain in the *** due to the massive amount of traffic and terrible infrastructure.

When you're the second most populous country in the world, that's going to happen. I know I've heard the jams on conference calls every now and then.

Traffic in Mumbai is so unbelievable, it is truly a "see to believe" situation.

Congrats, Ralph!

To show our sales reps how much they are loved the business I support usually as its sales meetings in January. In St. Paul.

Crappy week, and I have a strong feeling that after a glorious lunch with melmac and my God-daughter, the weekend will be worse.

Good morning Lodge.

Currently 25 degrees outside. Clear skies and the stars are amazing!

Itasca state park has wifi!

Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, fruit, juice and coffee via French press will be served for breakfast.

What time? It'll take me several hours to drive there...

Not really roughing it if there's wifi?

I have never researched it but itasca is the first park I have encountered with wifi. It's only offered at certain sites and we just happened to pick one that has it.

Besides, technically we aren't here to rough it but we certainly don't have all the amenities of home. ;) There is no running water and just vault toilets. We do have a travel trailer with electricity but no tv. The boys and I already played a game of battleship and next is Yahtzee. Cribbage later. Somewhere in between I will play with myself. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #179: Crisp Autumn Weather, Football, and Hockey

Now I have an image of gmann playing with himself and yelling Yahtzee!

It's better than crying out that he sunk his own battleship, because that would just get weird.

So different religious factions are now destroying each other's holy sites in the middle east. Nice.

I guess religion doesn't actually teach all those good things it claims to, like tolerance.
