Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

I'm reading a document at work that's from one of our vendors. "The DAM system will be available via..."

It has me thinking of National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, when the Griswold's are taking their dam tour.

Does anyone know how to get an iphone to recognize phone numbers in text, like in an email, so I can just click them to call them? I can't figure out how to turn on this feature.

I didn't think it was a feature that could be disabled. You might want to talk to your company's helpdesk on that one.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

Thanks for the help everyone!

With my dad en route to the Twin Cities for the 16th straight year to watch a college hockey conference tournament. Crazy how many years and memories it's been! I'll always miss the old Final Five though.. That's where I really fell in love with college hockey and just the game of hockey itself. Cheers and best of luck to everyone's teams this weekend (or on your golf games!:o)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

I just received a message from the Condo management that the office may be closed tomorrow because of the weather. We are expecting 0.2 inches of snow before it turns to rain.

Also, we booked a room at the Hampton I guess? A mile from the Garden?

Yeah, it's actually right next door to the hotel bbdl is staying in. Oh - bbdl, your hotel is now open. Drove by it this morning.

Back from the dentist to get my temporary crown. The novocain didn't take. The dentist had to inject it many times before it numbed. Not sure if he didn't use enough or the novocain he used was not good. I'm waiting for it to wear off before I make my dinner.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

DHead Boss screwed up big time. He and my backup (who is also a team lead; recently promoted) are the only ones who know how to do my job. DHB forgot I had tomorrow off. Backup has training/conference calls/etc that he HAS to do tomorrow, as he leaves for more training in Chicago all next week. I'm very glad I'm not another worker there tomorrow; this will be a chaotic workday. :)

Why did you need novocaine here?

You had a root canal on the stub under said crown, no? Therefore that tooth should no longer have a nerve to generate mind numbing pain ;)

I ain't bringing them sh*. I don't see them at all. Honestly, I am on an island for work. I do my own thing.

so nobody there tomorrow has a clue as to how it works on your island?? So what you're saying is that next week might be a good time to ask for a raise??

the MI-MN fight in the Big Ten tourney thread is pretty amusing. The right push might just send it off the rails.

We get annual raises, no arbitrary raises. And only two people know how it works, and they are both management. I'm just laughing. I make enough to be pleased. Corporate decides raises, so I'm making max at my position. But, it's enough for what I want, and I love the job. That is what makes me happy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

Morning to you normal folks. In honor of Lake Placid ECAC weekend: "great moments are born from great opportunity."

Safe trip up north, Mark. Wish I could be there.

No, no root canal. The tooth just broke, large old filling in it. I went two weeks ago, he drilled it down, put in a build up, let that set. I went yesterday and he had to drill that all away. Then he created a temporary crown.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

Good Morning Lodge.

You know, some people want no maths in the Lodge, I'd like no dentistry in the Lodge. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #174: Spring Cleaning

Morning, Lodge! A couple errands to run, then it's tailgate time, then hockey! Supposed to be beautiful today, too.
