Then you're making it wrong. :)

Each of them has a secret to put them over the top. I'm not ashamed to admit I have a few boxes of HH in my pantry. I've learned the secrets over time.

Oh, after learning that HH tastes the same, I modified the hell out of them with my own recipes. I am learned in those ways. Having said that, I bet it's been about 4-5 years since I've had HH.

Once every 2-4 weeks here. I love cooking. Actually cooking. People know me as an experimenter in the kitchen. But you know what is fantastic? Being lazy and going back to your childhood.

That and considering my job and the hours it can require while taking care of a house and yard by myself, sometimes HH just hits the spot.

I hear you about the job schedule. Nothing like trying to get motivated to cook up a steak at 8pm for dinner. And honestly, some of my best stuff has come by accident: what do I have left, and what can I do with it?

I can cook up a mean breakfast, though. Many hockey tournament guests can attest to that.

I'm only a home 3 nights per week, but I generally cook at least one of those days. Tonight was pork chops & stuffing in the crock pot.

I'm a big peppers/onions guy when it comes to additions/seasoning. Yes, I even differentiate between red/white/etc onions and sweet/hot peppers, depending on what I'm going for.

I have weird taste when it comes to that stuff. I only like white onions...not red. I really like them raw and hate them caramelized. I love red, yellow, and orange peppers...but find green boring. Love sauteed mushrooms...especially with a big steak. And after all that, I don't like any of that stuff on pizza.

Red >> white in scrambled eggs. Green peppers are boring, but reliable. The hot peppers (different levels, of course) I fully enjoy. Example: pork chops. Slice the side of them, stick a couple jalapenos in there before/during cooking? Tasty. The spicy is more rounded, I've found.

Too funny. That's EXACTLY what I had. :D

And nothing like getting a call from your boss on your day off telling you to come into work Monday two hours early. I guess the system crashed today around 11am, and was down ALL DAY. That means no orders were processed for about 6 hours. Wonderful.
Mine mentioned I was working this coming Monday (my day off) in the middle of dinner at an office function last week. Never asked but thought she did. Was insistent. SHowed her the text. She asked if I was free the end of Sept. We haven't been on the best of terms and hadn't spoken since the text. I had a bunch of appts and could only work AM. That didn't go over well. Then this past Thursday she asks me (calling from out of state) if I can take call that Mon afternoon. Really?? Do you think you might like to ask me a little earlier? One more reason I need to find something else to do with my life.

If you work that hard doesn't it defeat the purpose of HH?

HH? The box may taste better. :)

I prefer to eat the paper bag that it came in from the grocery store.

Good morning Lodge.

Everything omelette's have been served for breakfast.

Busy day today. Little gII flag football, homecoming parade, homecoming tailgate, HS football game, having friends over for a barbecue and then bonfire.

Good morning Lodge. Heading to Newport, RI for a friend's wedding. Should be lovely. It's a perfect day for it.

Water still coming from above. I am trying to get a contractor in here Monday night but I don't want to do anything till we all figure out where it's coming from, because I could get my ceiling fixed but if the leak isn't fixed, I'm just going to have to do it all over again.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Made hash this morning using the leftover fried potatoes. That was amazing. Now trying to get off the couch and get going to look at new frames for my glasses and maybe the Twins game tonight if the storms come through later.
