Morning Lodge.

Steamy out this morning. Hope we get a little rain today. It rumbled and sprinkled a bit yesterday but no real rain.

Good Morning, Lodge!

I really hope the Twins game is rained out today. Work should be interesting. My boss is back and he and I are going to have a little chat about who does what at the company. Recently, it feels like everyone is pawning something on someone else as they know one little thing so it is assumed they know it all. Also, my rant the other day about too many hands in the cookie jar. I cannot stand it anymore. To the point I started to open my eyes for another job.

Saw on facebook that we got more than 5 inches at the farm yesterday. I didn't realize that it rained that much to the south. Up here it was just enough to be annoying, and not help the humidity at all.

It rained pretty steady around my house for most of the afternoon and into the evening. It never came down really hard, just constant.

Less than 2000 miles to go (1980.4) to get to last year's total of bike miles. (5777.8 done.) It might be tough.

My brother and his wife are enjoying an anniversary trip to New England. I told him not to shop at Market Basket while he was there. I just got a text that they drove by a Market Basket in New Hampshire with people protesting outside and that he honked at them in support.

w00t!! NOw the vendors are jumping ship and posting letters saying the current folks in control are lying to them and making promises they aren't keeping. Their biggest fish vendor just broke off ties.

Ha! That's great to hear!

I saw on the news this morning that there was a meeting with the MA and NH governors and from both sides to get this settled. Not sure what that means or how close. My belief is that the MB I knew and liked to shop at is no longer there. Whatever settlement happens, it won't and probably can't go back to the way it was. I have no idea where to go for fish now. Stop N Shop ain't cutting it.

You're in Massachusetts and don't have fish markets? We have fish markets in Minnesota with seafood flown in fresh daily (Coastal Seafood).

MB ha(s)d a pretty good in store fish market. The vendor who supplies that has bailed because they have deemed the new MB execs untrustworthy.

My theory is playing out. Arthur S (booo, hiSSSSSSSSSS) is bankrupting the assets and themn will sell it. This is the best example of evil and corrupt soul you may ever see in real life (the kind of people who see as caricatures in the movies and think- nah, that doesn't happen in real life.)

None that close to me, at least none that I've found. I asked my mom and she said two of the local ones she used to go to closed because Market Basket's prices and selection were much better.

This is all out of spite now. I can't believe he'd be able to sell it now and get anything for it. Who would touch it at this point? I heard he's getting married in a few weeks and flying in some famous band to play at his wedding. I hope people find out where it is and picket.

At first I sort of felt a bit aggravated at him. Now I feel a deep disgust that all of them are so shameless.

Stripping a store of its customer base is a horrible way to sell a company. If he or the rest of the family wanted to simply sell it, they'd have been off taking over the CEO position (accomplished), and then immediately sought out buyers while continuing the proven model for success. Then, should the new owners (those who bought the store from the family) wanted to go the Wal-Mart route with the business, that would be their prerogative, though it would have been to their detriment, as we see now how New Englanders are reacting to this brand that, it turns out, they cherish.
