Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I'm already ****ed at Sales and Marketing, and now they schedule a meeting with me, for 8AM, when I am double booked. I get my other meeting rescheduled so I can attend their meeting, and now it is 8:44, and I am still the only one sitting in the conference room. These people are so incompetent and unprofessional it is seriously going to drive me to find a new job.
As soon as they show up, leave and say you have to be at another meeting.

They won't show up. This is standard operating procedure for these people, so this isn't the first time it has happened. It was so bad that I quit coming to this building to attend their meetings, and just stayed at my desk, so they complained to my supervisor that I "wasn't giving them the support that they need", so I had to start coming over here again, to the same ****. I have told my supervisor about it, and he understands the situation, but it is still frustrating. Now they're probably reschedule it for tomorrow, and request that I come over to this building again tomorrow, when they all know that I am located here on Tuesdays only. If that happens, they will be getting a deny on meeting request.

I would tell them straight up that you're not going to waste both yours and the company's time by showing up there in person until they make it to X number of consecutive meetings on time. Then if they miss even just one, the whole process starts over.

Got home from work, was walking to the front of my building from the parking lot and there was a guy passed out on the lawn next to the sidewalk leading to the front. Couldn't tell if he was alive, just drunk or seriously injured. Called 911. Apparently he was well enough to get up when the police showed up. I had gone to one of the trustees to see if he would make the call but he told me to call. Then he went down there. Knocked on my door to tell me the outcome. If you were going to do all that, then why didn't you make the call? Sheesh. I just wanted to make sure he wasn't dead or anything. Ah Tuesdays.

The MN State Fair has added Beer Gelato. My only question is why has it taken this long?

Out for dinner with customers from embraer, these guys don't stop drinking

The last business dinner I had (this was a few years ago) it was on the expense account for the leader of our group (people were picked from around the country to help convert buildings to a paperless system; I was the only one without the title "Systems Management Expert," which was odd). The 8-9 of us had a round, were about to switch to N/A drinks, to be polite, and he flat out said: You all better have a couple more rounds. I have a 6-figure account. This is peanuts." This was also at Ruth's Chris and all of us were drinking top-shelf.

I fear what that bill was.

Your little joke? (see bold)

So, while I'm in LA for the Emmys, the MTV Video Music Awards are happening the night before. Just bought tickets. My nieces are beside themselves. They were so funny!

This is a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday meeting, as we were leaving the person leading the meeting told me "if you want to go out for drinks tomorrow night too, let me know" We were all drinking craft beer and I saw the before dinner tab of 85$ I dont want to know what the final damage is.

Morning.

Telephone (required) and Internet randomly went out at home last night.

They have a priority on call tech who can come fix it. But they can't give me a time. It'll be whenever he's between jobs. So I scheduled a regular appt. as well for Friday morning.

Makes no sense to have tech house call hours from 8-4 when no one's ever home.
