Good Morning, Lodge!

With all this forklift talk, OSHA would have a field day at my place of employment. FDA is already having fun. The CEO is too cheap to invest into anything and he wants a new product that we launched a few months ago to be nationwide. Good luck with that.

Makes a difference, doesn't it? :D

Truthfully, I'm a little surprised with you being a runner and all. I have found that people who run or engage in aerobic activity are affected MUCH less than "normal" folk.

Walking around I dont have a problem, it's been the 2 3.25 miles runs Ive done, normally I can do 5 miles no problem but after 3 out here I am done for

5-point harness required at our company once you engage the power equipment. No exceptions.

Oh, the differences between working for a company and farm work. We climb legs and silos, on a LADDER 80+ feet without any kind of harness. Been doing it for years.

Which is why there are over 20 fatal accidents per 100,000 workers annually. By far worse than most occupations. But, of course, nothing will ever happen to you.

Good Morning Lodge.

Howdy Lodge! Posting from the beach in Boca. It's hot, water is warm. I'm enjoying it.

My sister lives in Boca. Love visiting there although Deerfield and Boynton are more my style.

Go to the Whale's Rib (Deerfield) for the lobster bisque. It's not to be missed - I promise.

Interesting. I think in our factories and warehouses we only have propane.

My old job, we had propane. Current job, we have giant batteries that weigh (depending on model of power equipment) 2000-5000 lbs (obviously they also serve as counter-weight). The good ones last 2-3 days without needing a charge/change, and the bad ones (older worn down ones) last about a day.

And it's looking more and more official that the offsite position is mine. DHeadBoss wants me to start taking my cell phone to work, in case anything comes up. Cell phones are banned at work unless you are management or need to have it in case of emergency (like baby is just about due, or something). Also, they are now letting me out along with the rest of the early-shifters. Those two clues are huge.

Tentative congratulations!;)

Thank you! Honestly, I didn't think this would happen, as I have a feeling this other guy is a lifer with the company, and about the same age as me. This is about as close as you can get to management without being part of that (which would include going back to school to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a piece of paper saying you know what you are doing). ;)

Congrats!
And keep pimping Mother Mining products. ;)
