Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

ours was columbus day weekend, IIRC. I dunno, I'd need some hard convincing to want to do it again.

I'm thinking the timing is everything. I was there in middle of the season, and wanted out. Immediately. Went to a townie bar I know of (my friends know the owners). Had more fun.

My niece just left my house some 15 minutes ago or so, after being here for about three hours. She spent a good chunk of that time apologizing for being such a b**** to me for a large part of her life. I didn't see that coming when I woke up this morning.

Well......sh*. That's pretty cool.

Morning. Hump day already!

Was given free tix to an August Pirates game. Likely to be the first one I've attended where it wasn't cold.

Morning Lodge.

Was gonna go to the office today, but....

Mrs and Jr are stilled wiped from the funeral trip to PA so didn't want to get them up early to drive me to my colleague's house for my ride in (she wanted to leave at 5:45 AM). My foot ankle are pretty sore from PT yesterday - they pushed me more than I have been before. Will try to go in Friday for a few hours, get Jr to drive me as he won't have hockey.

Good morning Lodge. Back at the airport, this time for vacation. Flight doesn't leave for an hour, gate is pretty full already and the plane is here. They should start boarding now.

In case you missed it on the interwebs, Wierd Al's new album is fantastic.

Spent the $13 to support his CD. I really like 6 of the songs, and kind of like the rest.

Not motivated to work today. I think it is the wedding weekend hangover. (not an actual hangover)

Yesterday I hacked a path to my well. It is located about 15 feet off the lawn and was completely overgrown with brush and vines, so if we had to find it, it would be a real *****. It was also covered in brush, apparently, from when the electric company trimmed a tree a year or 2 ago. Now there is a good path to it, and it is completely uncovered. I would like to extend the lawn out to the well, so it isn't a problem anymore, so maybe we'll work on that this fall.

Also, I called the electric company to come out and take down a tree that is overhanging the power lines going to my house. It sounds like it is their responsibility, which I hope it is, I don't want to pay for it to come down. I had a limb fall on that line a year ago, and it busted up my meter box, I just sealed up the box with silicon, but it needs replacing. I don't want to replace it until this other dead tree is out of the way. Once the tree is gone, I need to have an electrician out to replace the box, and then I need to replace the eave. Then I need to paint the eaves after the siding was put on. Still have lots of stuff to do, but we made huge steps by getting the siding installed and the last 3 windows replaced.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Went to work early so I could ditch out and go to the Twins game. Fun time.

Fixed I blame posting from the phone while having beers at elevation.

Makes a difference, doesn't it? :D

Truthfully, I'm a little surprised with you being a runner and all. I have found that people who run or engage in aerobic activity are affected MUCH less than "normal" folk.

Still haven't damaged anything with a forklift. I'm much slower than the guys that have been doing it a while, but I think that's fine as long as I don't bring down fully loaded pallet racking. As I get used to how far the forks stick out and the radius of the tail whip I'll speed up.
