Man Brent, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Like the others, I saw your Facebook post and thought something like that must have happened. Not sure what else to say that hasn't been said here already. It's never easy. :(

As for Jeter, he's OK by me. His SNL episode was pretty funny. They were talking about him on the radio this morning about how since he never married, it was no big deal for him to sleep around with so many famous woemn because he wasn't cheating on a wife. I agree. I thought he and Minka Kelly made a beautiful couple. And I hope this isn't my Red Sox bias coming through but man, the coverage has been kind of overkill. But I chalk that up to the age of media oversaturation we live in today. With regards to his commercial, the comment I heard was "chills." Seriously? Chills? No. It was a great commercial. I loved seeing John Lester and the Red Sox fans. Made me smile. Not cry. And I hated the use of the Michael Jordan logo and him at the end as it made it an actual commercial instead of just the fitting tribute it should have been.

Will there be a fellow poster that is going willing to post pics during the day, either here, Facebook or Twitter? Cuz you know, I'm a girl and wanna see her dress. :)

There are several posters that will be there. MNS, Brent, SoH, Shirtless Guy, melmac...and a few others. My guess is that mel is your best bet for pictures, because I doubt the guys are going to care that much. :p

Nice to sleep without a cast and elevation cushion last night. Now pizzed that the surgeon's office didn't have me schedule PT in advance as my preferred location for PT is booked 2 weeks out.:mad:

I am completely unmotivated to work. Surprise, surprise. I think I have a good excuse for my mind being elsewhere. :p

I got all of the stuff that needs to be done over with, and I'm responding to customer inquiries, but I don't think I'm going to get much more than that done today.

Over the past several days I have been designing a floorplan for a house, call it our dream house. My fiance doesn't like our current house, the layout is odd, and she doesn't like that it is seemingly permanently in the state of needing a room renovated. We would really like to build a house, and it is looking more and more like we will end up moving back towards the farm, as I take on more of an active role there. If that is the case, we will be building, so I thought I should be ready! Even if it is a few years out. So I put together this floorplan, because I figure I'm an engineer, and I've done enough house/building work to know that certain things need to go certain places, etc. that I should design it myself. (just the layout, I'm not going to design trusses or electrical or HVAC or anything like that) I got all done, and calculated how many square feet the thing is.....and ****, this is a huge house. 6200 ft2. :p Luckily, it will be pretty easy to knock it down quite a bit as there is a ton of extra space around the design.

I did the floor plan of our addition and I have some lessons learned that I'd be happy to share if you want me to review your plan.

All I need to do is release one drawing package and then Im not doing anything the rest of today or tmw except get stuff ready for my Colorado Springs trip on Monday. Following the Open Championship will definitely be happening.

Proud to announce I've been offered and accepted a job offer at a local middle school. Now if only HR/District Office would call me to have me come in a sign a contract...I'd feel a lot better about it (less worried about it)

Can't wait to hear the stories about how you get yelled at for being in the teachers' lounge because they think you're one of the students.

I'm also waiting for a phone call. I put in for a Health and Wellness assistant position with a local chiropractor, and I'm hoping I get called in for an interview.

Congrats, I think. What district? Depending on the district I might change it to "I'm sorry." And "good luck.". I expect middle school to be the toughest.
