Good luck!

So I checked the work schedule for tomorrow on a whim, and found that no one had asked for it off. Shocked, I asked the boss if I could have it off. Yep. Extended weekend! :D

Covering the practice by myself today and tomorrow. It is truly amazing how many people want narcotics before the long weekend. Here is my shocked face--->

Someone could have my Vicodin that I got after my ankle surgery. Never took one. Took about three prescription strength ibuprofen in the past three weeks but that's it.

Yeah, never liked the Vic nor the Perc. Both made me as jumpy as a 2-year-old on crack. I probably could have made a decent penny on the black market.

I remember them giving me morphine. That was awesome. I swear to Parise that the nurse could have said, "I'm going to hit you in the face with a spiked sledgehammer dipped in acid and then dump salt on the wounds, and I would have said very slowly but agreeably, "Oooookaayyyyyy." :D

That I have not tried.....

Just spent about an hour giving pb's mom a tutorial on how to use her new phone. She should be set now. We got all of the important stuff worked out, baseball scores, weather, driving directions, etc. Then I showed her some of the really cool stuff it can do.

In other related news, pb's mom is more knowledgeable on a smart phone than I am. ;)

When I was on Norco for the bursitis surgery, it left me tired and really left me not wanting to do anything.

My brother and I were visiting my dad after he had heart surgery, and they had him on morphine. The walls were melting, bleeding, and spiders crawling down them while we were there, and his eyes were popping out of his sockets to let you know it was all very real. He did not have a pleasant trip that day.

I actually would have love to hallucinated. I only have done that once, due to lack of sleep (42+ hours), and it was trippy as all hell. Very surreal.

I had Vicodin when I had my wisdom teeth removed, and probably only needed them for ~2-3 days tops. I used the whole script. Made me really relaxed, numb isn't the right word, but similar I guess.

You can send them my way if you want, goldy. Check is in the mail ;)

I had Morphine after lil was born. All it did was make me practically in a coma. I couldn't wake up worth poop. I had one of those personal 'pump' things- push the button for more. I never pushed the button. Clearly remember the nurse saying"does she know how to use this?" and pushing the button as they rolled me over. I didn't wake up for 6 more hours :(

Had Valium once for my back when I first got injured. Had a few beers (young, stupid and very sorry!!) Saw spiders in my peripheral vision, was paranoid and didn't come back to myself for about a day.

Moral of the story- les does not clear any of this shi7 out of her system well.....

Good Morning, Lodge!

Short-handed at work today. Pulling double duty of importing goods and order entry. People at work have been warned not to bother me.
