Ah, then I DEFINITELY wouldn't go there. :p

Makes sense on location, IIRC it's something like 1MM sq ft or some obscene size.

There are a lot of big companies out that way. My dad worked at the Mobil refinery that's in Chanahon/Minooka. Dow Chemical had a plant there. A bunch of others.

I-55 and I-80 intersect right near there and the I&M Canal goes right through there too.

Joliet is the best thing near there and as you can see, I no longer live there.

-shudder-

Enjoyed growing up there but could never live there again.

That's ok. Denver's location is sorta in the Mexican 'hood from what I recall (yes, we like our cheap land for locations). Anywhichway, not looking to move anytime soon.

Morning Lodge. Dropped Mrs goldy off at the airport this AM. Hope she has better luck than Scarlet with screaming babies.

Happy Birthday MEg!!

RFAlph, here is a genealogy story for you. I was taking pics at a track meet (not even lil's) and started talking to this lady. Her kid was racing next so I took some pics. Emailed them to her later via Outlook which has my full name on the sig. She emails me back that her maiden name is the same as mine. Turns out she may be the key to my conundrum about one branch of my family. We always heard we were on the 2nd boat over (the one after the Mayflower). Her family was on that boat and her Dad did a bunch of research. 28 yrs of writing town halls, cemeteries, poring over records, posting on forums and I meet someone at a track meet who has the story of that part of the family. Totally blown away. Her Dad has passed and he was the one with all the knowledge so not sure how much info I will get but at least I know the boat story is true!

Do you know which boat? I had ancestors on the Arbella that sailed over in 1630.

Huh... wiping with one's off hand is harder than I would have thought.

:D

Took today off. PT at 9:30 and then 4 days of nothing. Can't wait.

Happy Friday!

Morning, all. Another gorgeous day in 952land. Dropping the top today for the first time this year. Hoping that everyone takes off for their cabins a little earlier in the day, and therefore make my workday easier. :)

Probably going to get an early start driving to the future inlaws today. Want to get there early enough to go to the bar for a bit tonight. I think the plan is for me to work for a couple hours while driving. I'm just going to be creating powerpoint presentations for a training session I'm putting on, so I can do some of that in the car.

Was just on Twitter and saw some tweets about Johnny Manziel and didn't know what they were referring to so I just tried to go to ESPN.com to check it out and my company has blocked that site. Huh? But I have the ability to go to TMZ and Deadspin. That makes sense.

Sounds like your company has good taste. Mine blocks the garbage on ESPN too.

My company blocks a lot of social media sites (except for Facebook, for some reason), all email sites, and all sites known for streaming video that is known to have a certain % of shows or clips longer than 15 minutes; ESPN has its 360 stuff, so they're blocked, I've been told.

My company uses SonicWall to block any sports and recreation related sites, social media sites and job search sites. The wall goes down over lunch though, hence my posting pattern (although some of us know the way around the wall so I sometimes post during work hours - or use my phone).
