Dafuq??? Wild Turkeys are all black to a dark brown coloring. Flamingos are pink to white, depending on their diets.

I would bet this has a lot to do with why she called them morons...:p

Today is going to be a long day. Work from 8:30 to 4, then start my 12 week course from 5:30 to 9:30.

I am called into the most idiotic meeting ever. A meeting about why we have meetings. I am not joking. Shoot me now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I'm thinking of taking one summer class online this summer..it would be a month long..3 credits..I really don't like the idea of school when I will work the rest of my life throughout the summers, but it would lessen my workload a bit next year..

I have those, except that they've been meetings set by project managers for the sole purpose of scheduling more meetings.

Howdy Lodge. Posting from my brand new laptop at the office! It's pretty!! Silver and thin....I can't wait to take it on the road. It's supposed to be very light. And I got a nice new wide monitor.

Trying to get through a bunch of stuff today and tomorrow before I'm Frozen Four bound. Staying in Atlantic City for the weekend. Hoping to take Monday off as we drive back on Sunday and I will need a day to recover. :)

So, what's the answer?

This might be the best part. The answer to that question is "because it is what we do". The example was "baseball players play baseball games, music conductors conduct music, and business people/engineers go to meeting". Not kidding.

Did you laugh out loud? I'm not sure I could have kept from doing so had I been there.

i'm definitely one of those *******s that vacuum at 9 or 10 at night. i don't have a dishwasher or washing maching/dryer, though, so, my neighbors can deal with the 10 minutes it takes for me to clean my whole apartment.

i thought i was getting away from the morons when i left Saginaw. today, we got a call at work that one of our flamingos was out, walking along a major street. we counted the flamingos (and peacocks, just to be safe), everyone accounted for. turns out, it was a wild turkey. i appreciate people trying to help us out, but seriously, elementary kids know the difference between a turkey and a flamingo.

So you have contraband flamingoes :p

Sounds about right. When someone asked my brother what I do, he had heard me complain about meetings so he told them "she goes to meetings". For some reason, my brother who is a lawyer, thought it was really cool that I "get to" go to meetings. If he only knew the reality of these meetings.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I went to a meeting this morning. We needed to have this meeting, it was absolutely required to kick off the next phase of the project. The problem was that the individual who called the meeting (an architect) was not prepared for the meeting so it was way less productive than it should have been. The first question that I asked, and I asked it well into the meeting, was "what is the schedule?" I never got a direct answer. As far as I was concerned it was THE key point of the meeting.

That's not necessarily how I would interpret that statement as a stranger. :p

I had an awesomely bad meeting to define a security certification renewal process this afternoon. Three different opinions and clear as mud. Can't wait to gut that mess and reengineer it.
