tickets to a car show? A racing video game? Cash instead of scratch offs? Membership to an adult video store (or web site, ask mookie)?
You want top make sure a teenage kid's not going to use those? Tell his mother to give him the stuff to do the deed? That's a grade A way for him to peter out too soon.

lil is turning 18 in a few days. Trying to figure out a BD gift. The kid loves extremely expensive cars and running. He has everything running already. Cannot afford a Lambo. NO IDEA what to get him for his BD other than scratch tickets because now he can cash those in.

What about a cross necklace? That was one of the greatest things I've ever received; at first I was kinda like umm.. I now where it everyday.

First range session coming up in a bit.. It'll be nice to get some of the the rust off.

Found the perfect thing. Can't wait. Not sure if he lurks here so won't post until we give it. Very excited. :D :D

How about you ship lil' off to Philly for the weekend, and let the fine individuals of USCHO help him celebrate the big 18 correctly? ;)

Pouring down here today, but should be nice tomorrow so I can get a round of 9 in tomorrow night before flying to Philly Thursday AM.

This might be the best part. The answer to that question is "because it is what we do". The example was "baseball players play baseball games, music conductors conduct music, and business people/engineers go to meeting". Not kidding.

I think I would have just sat there quietly with an incredulous look on my face. I mean, meetings are necessary evil, but it isn't what "we do".

It was a teleconference, so I wasn't actually in the room. Both my coworker and I (we sit in ajoining cubes) laughed when we heard that.

Was he serious? Is the guy known for throwing out a deadpan joke or two?
