Morning Lodge. Was all excited to get some Bearclaw Coffee today. I treat myself to a big delicious coffee milkshake type thing maybe every other month. Pull up to drive thru and it was closed. :( I am coffee-less. Not sure I can take on the workday now.

I noticed this morning that Board has to approve new USCHO posters, and the message is dated 3/27/14. I haven't been too observant recently. :D

I think they modified it, it was some sort of screening process to stop the spambots. That worked for about an hour. Now I think they actually have to manually approve new users.

I realize that there was a previous message about screening via answering some hockey question. Are you saying that message was from 3/27/14, and the new one is more recent but still has the old date?

No, they tried the hockey questions for about two weeks, and within less than a day the smarter bots had figured it out. So the only solution to completely prevent them was to require admin approval of all new accounts, which is what the 3/27 message is about.

I think Jr is truly in the friend zone with this girl. She is going to help out with a charity fund raiser in a few weeks that Jr volunteered for last year and asked her and some of his other friends to help with this year.

I noticed that as well. It appears to have worked, at least for now.

Chilly but beautiful day in the Springs. I'd say I'm sad I'm missing Opening Day but if I was home I would be working and unable to go so if I'm unable to go anyway, being here and not in the office is not too bad.

So I'm Facebook friends with this woman who is friends with a very close friend of mine. She is a diehard Yankees fan living in Boston. I can totally respect her following and being a fan of the Yankees. What annoys me is her posts about them. Today she posts how awful it's going to be for her 4-yr old son in school today because it's "Red Sox Day." Actually it's awful for you . Your 4-yr old probably doesn't even understand. It's almost to the point where I want to unfriend her. And the Sox won the World Series. It's not like she's rubbing it my face or anything.

I have a new cube now. For the first time in my professional life, I have a window. I get to see the top of the skyway connecting the IDS and the Baker Center and the mirrored glass of the 4th floor of the IDS tower. Scenic. Excellent cell phone coverage in this part of the building now, though. At my old spot, I would routinely get 0 bars, but mostly it would be 1 or 2 bars of 3G coverage. Now I have 3 bars of LTE - exciting times!
