Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)
All I can say is, get it looked at now, before you end up like my dad. Did something to his ankle while on a roofing crew in college in the late 70s - ankle problems for years when standing/walking all day. Had both hips replaced in 2007. Has had periodic back spasms that he's ignored for years, and now doing PT in hopes of avoiding surgery.
He's worked a desk job since 1980, though he's kept active at the gym since the 90s.
This stuff all adds up.
You know what's awesome? Back spasms. I usually can work through them (no, it does not feel good), but today was a no-go. Lasted about 3 hours into my shift, and just couldn't take the pain anymore. Prob the worst I've had in a couple years. Also broke my attendance streak (non-scheduled PTO) which was years. I didn't even know how to log the hours I missed today (as in how to categorize them in the computer). That's how long since I missed even a partial day.
5 hours of alternating heat pad/no heat pad seems to have cured it, but I think I won't push it tomorrow at work.
