Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)
Did a tailgater bring the bus or was that something else entirely?
There was a field trip (looked like middle schoolers) to the historical building that is part of the lot. So, the kids first got to see what tailgating was all about (this was maybe 10 in the morning?). When the bus came to pick them up, and was leaving, the bus didn't quite make the turn, and the back end bowed a tailgate on WPoS's pickup, and crushed in the top of another tailgater's car. The bus stops, one of the bus people came out, everyone taking pics of everything.
THEN the driver, for whatever reason, started backing up the bus again, and almost took out a cooler/beer darts mat. If the 12-15 of us standing in that immediate area didn't start screaming like crazy, the bus would've kept backing up. Moron.
Anyway, rise and shine, folks! Picking up MNS for the tailgate in about 30 minutes; and while Madre has been a trouper the last couple days for tailgating, she decided to skip out on today, since MN isn't playing. She loves "our people" as she refers to them, though, and is looking forward to her next hockey game. Quote her last night, "I...I'm angry! We played like crap! I've never felt like that about sports before! It's weird!"
After she said that, my immediate thought was that scene from "Freaks:" One of us, one of us, we accept you one of us! Gooble gobble!:
