No, H&R Block. What's this about TurboTax?

ETA: Never mind, just found an article. That sucks for the honest people.

I'm just irritated because I try to prep for taxes, and this year I had a little hiccup that's caused me to hit the penalty range for my MN taxes owed.

Gotcha. I use Liberty Tax, my old tax guy basically was bought out by them (or he bought into them, but either way...).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

For Christmas my friend made me this glass dry erase board. It was framed and she also included this frame stand. I kept it on my kitchen counter and used it for my shopping list. I wound up using the marker for something and by mistake, used a black sharpie. The marker won't come off and now it's ruined. I feel awful. And mad at myself for being so stupid.
Rubbing alcohol might do the trick.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

If it's actually glass you could try nail polish remover or goo-gone. We use goo-gone at work to remove sharpie from dust jackets where people block out the price (if the marking isn't removed we can not accept the return)

Just be certain it is glass before you try nail polish remover, that stuff will destroy plastic.
We use sharpies to label stuff all the time at work, and remove it with denatured alcohol.

Good morning Lodge. I'm so tired. It's no fun when your morning commute takes you past the place you were partying at a mere 7 hours ago. 5 hours is not enough sleep for me. But at least I had fun last night. On track to work a 40+ hour week, despite staying home Monday due to snow.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Hope you're not using TurboTax. MN nixed that today.

I didn't, taxes are done, and in 7-10 days I get my money.

I will be using TurboTax in MN. TurboTax will get it fix, and if the State MN can't accept that, then that's just another reason we're looking for houses in western WI.

Google is your friend. Someone drew on Lil's car window, He googled and found something to get it off. Not sure what (sorry)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

So my post from earlier this morning didn't post. Another hellacious commute. I thought things were starting to improve but today's frigid temperatures have caused the MBTA to freeze up - pun intended. I've been taking the subway the opposite way to ensure I get a seat and not fight the 6-deep crowds at my station. Got to the end of the line, saw a large crowd on the platform and then got the announcement that the train I was on was going out of service. Great. There was another train on the other track that the people on the platform said was also out of service. Greatx2. Yet everyone was getting on it. So I jumped on it. Five minutes later, after this train was now packed, we get an announcement that the train I got off of that had left the station was now coming back to take passengers and leave. The out-of-service train I was sitting in was indeed out of service, they let us sit there to get out of the cold. I somehow managed to get on that other train. Two stops before my stop these ********* kids crowd on and are playing loud profanity-laced music to annoy the 150,000 of us packed in the subway car. Because I want to hear you yelling at the top of your lungs about sucking your dick during this ridiculous. Happy Friday y'all.

I love it when you're sitting in the airport, and the person next to you is loudly discussing their family drama on their phone. :p

I had to do that one time when I was sitting in a restaurant because I had a brother that wouldn't stop. I was irritated by it and I was a principle participant in the conversation.

Morning Lodge. Had an interview this AM. Now sitting in a taco house having an early lunch before heading to the office. I have some interest in the position. Seems better than my current one. We'll see where it goes. Still too far from home though, 15 miles. Not sure what the commute would be like in traffic.

You could move.

I am back to getting inquiries for 6-month contract jobs on the other side of the country. Six of them this week alone.

Never put Java programming as a skill on your resume unless you´re serious about pursuing developer jobs.

I could do a lot of dumb things. Fortunately, I'm not usually too dumb.

Sometimes, but not usually....

Oh, one of the main clients of the company I interviewed with is the little local company that GE and DX work for.
