Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Greetings Lodge. Here at work today. Lots of people off as the subway was nice and empty. I was running a bit late and got to the platform and realized I was still on schedule when I realized I forgot my glasses so I had to walk home and get them. Boss took the day off and I have no meetings so I wasn't too worried about that. It's really nice out today. Sunny, high 30s/low 40s. Hoping to redo an entire proposal today since it's so quiet.

I spoke with the other driver's insurance company about my claim just a few minutes ago, and they spoke with the other driver today to get verification on what I told them. The other driver did verify what I said, so they're picking up the tab to fix my car and provide a rental for the duration. The woman who hit me may be a bad driver, but at least she's an honest bad driver.

I think it went well. Should know by the end of the week. Now at the airport waiting for by travel to get rebooked to Minneapolis instead of New Orleans...

Yeah, but then there would probably be a warrant out for my arrest for not showing up for jury duty tomorrow...

Pfft. Take off the skirt already. :D

As much as I dislike being in a hospital. Gillette makes it somewhat bearable. Phenomenal customer service in everyone we encounter.

Neat story. We stopped at Tom Reid's for a quick bite to eat. Tom Reid stopped by to check on our table. We spoke for a bit and during the discussion we informed him the reason we were in cityslickerville. He left and came back with two Wild game pucks and a signed photo for the boys. He also provided us a gift certificate and told us to call the restaurant for delivery if we woukd like. Obviously over the top and what a nice guy.

Got it. Thanks. I will look into it.

In other news........left Gillette at 2:30 to go to Target (1300 University). End up smack dab in the middle of a MLK march. And by smack dab in middle of a march I mean smack dab in middle of the f er. Thought for a second I heard a "kill whitey" chant. :D

A nice young female officer on a horse was nice enough to lead me to safety. ;)

Nite to self......next time I decide to drive in cityslickerville.....head the opposite direction from the helicopters.

Fwiw. 3 mile drive took 50 minutes.

I live about 6 six blocks from there...had to do an end run to get home. Holler if you need anything.
