You do realize that was a scam right? Someone called her dad and pretended to be lil trying to get money.
Chilly morning today. I spent some time cleaning yesterday and now that the sun is hitting my living room I see that there is still so much dust. Not sure how that happened. I need a cleaning lady.

Stressed out this morning... went to snare a copy of MSOffice for mommy and daddy through work email... harrassment complaint! (in the inbox)
Hopefully will be ok... talked to somebody... said I wasn't the target and there should be a few of these going around... somebody's way of seeking promotion.
So, mommy and daddy will have to wait to get office on their computer... BLAH... my emotions are already fried so I didn't want to deal with that stuff.

Deciding whether to go out to watch the big MN-WI football game or just listen on the radio, since the Gopher hockey game will be starting very soon after the football game ends, and I'm NOT missing that on the radio. Hopefully it'll be a good sports day for Minnesotans.

My dad is upset with me that I didn't get him a smart phone when I upgraded the lines. He has not shown me that he is worthy of a smart phone. He leaves his phone in the car all the time and doesn't answer when you call, but you have to answer when he calls. I told him to take my mom to the store right now as my mom has authority to my account. His phone that the other 3 have is free with activation and they pay the cancellation of the old phone. That is what they did. I got my mom setup, now to get my dad. This should be fun.
On the plus side, my friend is moving into the building next door. Free Spotted Cow for people that help out.

I'd have to think that this is the biggest Gopher football game in a long, LONG time.
Chance to go to the B1G Championship Game on the line and maybe a Rose Bowl after that?
It's rare that the Axe could be viewed as a secondary prize although it isn't to anyone who follows these two teams.
I ALWAYS look forward to this game - even if it's just a formality of pounding the Goofs and keeping them in their place. That is certainly not the case today as the Gophers are an up and comer and will (should) be a tough opponent.
How do you not watch this if you are a Gopher fan?

For those that may be interested, an update on my daughter's situation.
The smoke detectors saved hers, my son-in-laws, and his dads lives. It hit me yesterday... what if they didn't go off? What if the kids never heard it? What if another minute went by? But for the Grace of God... Please check your detectors and change the batteries!
Her brother-in-law was found near the cellar stairs where he was apparently trying to get out. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined but the wood stove was still connected to the chimney and the door and dampers were shut. The investigators have told the family they may never be able to determine the exact cause due to the tremendous damage.
She is very shaken but is being strong for her husband and FIL who are very distraught over the situation. The family has been through the wringer over the past couple of months starting with the passing of the mother in early October, and now the loss of the son/brother along with the family home, and everything in it.
If you go to the fundraiser site, there's a picture and a video that shows the devastation. There's also an update that my daughter wrote as well. Please don't think this is a shameless plug... I'm just a dad trying to do right by his daughter and her new family. Being 1300 miles away I feel very helpless. All I ask is that everyone keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
I am not a religious man by any stretch, but I do have faith in God. I've been praying a lot over the last 48 hrs.
I also have a restored faith in my fellow man. The results of the fundraiser thus far have been phenomenal... much more than I ever imagined. All the money in the world won't bring back the important things, but it will certainly help with the needed ones. I think my daughter said it best:

Because I'm a Gopher hockey fan, not a Gopher football fan. And I don't have cable.
It'd be nice to see the football team succeed, though, and it IS against those stinkin' BADgers.
Although, the only Gopher football game I actually WATCHED this year was one they lost (tOSU). So, superstition may come in play.

Being on a sports team, some of his bio information could be posted to the schools website. Also, does the school do an online phone book? Names could be found via that.
Otherwise, subsequent searches of family (via death notices, newspaper articles, etc.) could reveal further information.
NMU used to have an online phone book when I first attended, everyone called it the "Stalker Book" because it listed your name, grade, campus address, campus phone #, and home address.

We can't figure out how they figured out some of the info. Lil doesn't post much on social media and if he does it isn't what he calls his grandfather and grandmother. Mr was saying one of the hockey guys had something similar happen to his GF and her grandparents. Also very well researched. Yikes.

Can someone answer this for me... The Rose Bowl is one of the semifinal games for the national championchip this year. Hypothetically assuming Minnesota/Wisconsin can beat Ohoho State next week to win the B1G championchip, in what bowl game would they play?
