JFC for some reason Agganis Arena added a goal horn. BU scores first, goal horn. I'm all annoyed. BU starts playing poorly, Harvard scores. Eichel, of all players, gets a penalty. Harvard scores. ****ing Tuesday. I'd leave if I thought the horrendous traffic has let up.

I will never understand why a college with a pep band would think a goal horn is a good idea. Please stop drowning out my cheering and my fight song with an assault on my ears that I could hear at any other rink.

Morning Lodge. 3 hours of work today and then I'm off to Texas. I don't know why I'm so excited about flying first class, but I am. I've never flown first class before. My wide a*$ is looking forward to a bigger seat and some booze.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Officially not looking forward to Thanksgiving. Found out that my MIL's friend (that myself, Mr, and the BIL cannot stand) is coming for dinner with her satan of a daughter. If I were her parents, I would be offended that my kid drove up from the Twin Cities to spend Thanksgiving at a friend's place than family. At least myself, Mr, and BIL know what to say around her to leave us along. Just bring up anything drug or gun related. [/rant]

Good morning Lodge. Off today but have to head into town for my final PT appointment that I missed because I got stuck on the subway Monday morning. The rain here has started, will hopefully stay as rain most of the day. I need to buy a $15 grab gift for my work team's Yankee Swap Monday night. Not venturing near any store on Friday and I'm busy Saturday and Sunday so today it is!

Morning Lodge.

Took the day off today. Made the brine for the turkey and it's cooling on the porch right now. Plan to brine it for several hours then inject it before bed tonight and get it in the smoker by about 5 AM tomorrow. Then have to start tossing junk into the dumpster to clean the garage and basement. Busy weekend planned.

The Gopher Blue Line Club has teamed with a bar over in Greyeagle country to stream the feed of the Gophers at BC. Planning to go there for dinner Friday. Saturday night may find a high school game to watch.

ETA: by the way, Jr will be getting up about 4:30 tomorrow to go for the third year in a row to help with this event: http://www.razoo.com/story/Thanksgiving-Meals-On-Wheels One of Mrs' clients and his best friend started it out of their kitchen in 1970 while in school at St. Thomas Academy and last year they delivered 14,500 meals to 2,700 families.

It seems to be only rain here in 202 land.

I may see if YE wants to go to O'Gara's Friday. Would be fun and maybe Saturday after the Gopher footballers punish the red team. Speaking of YE, he has done that STA event, too. Missed last year when he was in Europe and not sure if he's doing it this year. Great event.

I have I mentioned before that I hate connecticut? Lost 90 minutes from the CT border to a break point.

I'm home, finally, time for bed. Not as exhausting as I feared, but still, on the road from 9am until 11pm even with stops... sleep beckons.

Other than the CT bit... i expected NYC to be a snarl, it was better than I expected.

Home sweet home, my sister has left the stairs loaded with her stuff again. She's 30, move out already or if you're going to use a staging area, howabout some place that isn't the stairs.
Have you not learned to stumble/trip on the stairs and stamp on something by mistake. really. a fail as a sibling. :p

Do you want to see a face loaded with stiches on Saturday?

She already pulled a massive fit over me not wanting to move my laptop bag. Then she went over the list of horribles that I "do" whenever I get home... still haven't mentioned the stairs to her.

I almost asked for her consent to be audio or videotaped for the purpose of presenting to my shrink but that'd get me thrown out of the house.

edit: the first slight of course was my bad parking job... let's ignore that she could deal with it just fine... it was just an inconvenience... and frankly I had driven 10 hours and didn't want to get it perfect.

So Jr just blew off a rink on the pond. I went out and made him make it bigger (turnabout and all;)). He's not playing organized hockey anymore but I hope he gets out on the pond and local rinks.

Morning Lodge. Jeebus it's cold out there. Jr on his way to help direct traffic at Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels and I doubt he's dressed warm enough. May take a while for the smoker to come up to temp for the turkey.

ha. They are never cold. Mine wouldn't be cold even when frostbitten.
