Good morning Lodge peeps. I still feel kinda crappy. I may go back to bed for a bit. Wanted to eat before taking something. Getting my hair cut and colored this afternoon. Hopefully I'll feel better for tonight's game. Crossing fingers there isn't a letdown after last night.

Should have been there but I earned an extended vacation in upstate NY for another 10-14 days. Pilonidal cysts/abscesses are no fun. Had it lanced/packed this afternoon, will eventually have the whole area cleaned out to prevent a recurrence. Woohoo :/

Good Morning Lodge from the office again (real work office).

Got a new computer yesterday, much faster. But it has an annoying whine from the cooling fan. :( Not to bo confused with my constant whine.

Just noticed I had voicemails from yesterday. There were four of them, all the same message, all within a three hour period yesterday morning. Some guy with an accent telling me if I didn't call him I'd face federal charges, for what he never said. He urged me to call him back because he wanted to help me avoid getting into further trouble. Heh. I've received some calls from the local police telling us there have been these scamming calls, so obviously this is what it was. I saved one of them. I was debating calling the number back and screwing around with the guy but I think it was best to just ignore them.

Give them your mailing address of 1060 W. Addison St, Chicago, IL 60613. Elwood Blues would do it.

Don't call them back. There's some sort of way they use your number to rack up international charges to your account.

Yeah, I figure it's that type of scam. I can't believe people would actually fall for scams like that. Guy spoke accented English, didn't say from where he was calling and the four messages were the exact same. If someone was seriously trying to get a hold of me, I'm sure they would say different things and actually address me by name.

Also, I wonder what would have happened if I was home to answer. Was it a recorded message or a live person?

I see it all the time. it's crazy how people can fall for these tricks. I just wrapped up a case in which an elderly couple forked over nearly $750,000 to the bad guys.

In other news.......visiting the inlaws. Bil is being an idiot. I pulled him aside and requested that he shut the f up.
