Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

So, yesterday afternoon I got a call from my best man. (many people around these parts know him at this point) Looks like there's going to be another wedding shindig next summer, this time in Michigan! I'm happy that I get to be a part of his big day.

Driving to my buddy's house yesterday, mostly through dirt road, came upon a road construction area on the way. The closed road signs weren't posted, but they should've been. I ended up jumping my car and landing in a sand pit. Ended up able to drive out of it (thanks Subaru AWD!) and my car's not showing any signs of damage, though a number of trouble lights briefly flashed on then off again. I can't decide if I'm Bo or Luke.

Howdy Lodge. First day in the new office digs. Trying to do some work, have some meetings and unpack all at the same time.

Hey, State of Hockey, are we going out for dinner tomorrow night at that place you guys suggested? I think we're up for it, if you are, just let me know.

And got our tickets booked for a February trip to Northern lower Michigan, for my best man's 30th birthday bash. Should be extra celebration, given the recent news. Then 2 more trips over there in the next several months, for a bachelor party and wedding.

It was significantly cheaper to fly directly into Lansing and drive a little bit further, than to fly into the closer airports, so that is what we're doing. The flight times are also much better. We could have gotten an OK priced ticket to the close airport, but I didn't think we'd be in much shape to be awake for the 6AM flight Sunday morning. As it is now, we leave Lansing at 6PM, so we have plenty of time to get going in the morning and make the drive to the airport. Much better plan!

We just dropped my friends off at LAN this afternoon for their flight back to MSP. Their RT tickets were $228. I've been in and out of LAN more than DTW to head home. It's not much of an airport, and it's about 20-ish miles farther way than DTW, but the savings on flights make up for it.

Brent has to be Cooter.

soh is Cooter. I'm pretty sure I'd be stuck being Roscoe. MNS would be Enos.

Related: soh finally saw some of The League this past weekend. He realizes that he is indeed Rafi. :D

won my football thingy this week. dude at my golf place has around 80 guys all threw in $100 and we pick every game and assign points as to how sure one is of their winning (13, 12, 11, etc depending on the # of games each week).
anyhows i only lost the SF game but only gave them '5'. so i get my entry fee back :D. each weekly winner gets the $100 back.
