:mad::mad::mad:

Well, three of my four former roommates have lost all respect from me. Goodness. I got our final utility bills today, and sent out a text that everyone owed their share, and apparently, while I was gone for three months, and the main floor of our house repeatedly took a beating from parties and what not, when I wasn't there to clean one hundred percent of it, that was reason enough for them to not pay me the money they owe for our utilities. I moved out before they had two more parties, without me, and the counters, all of my garbage, and six garbage bags full of booze bottles that had lined our kitchen cupboard for two years were cleaned by me..Why that is such a college decoration, I'm not quite sure.. Additionally, when I came back and finished minor things in my room, I noticed various knife holes in the walls where they had broken in and had their drunk fun..throwing knives at walls? Needless to say, I got out of another lease with these guys because I couldn't handle their immaturity any longer.

Anyways, $200 is a lot of money to not be paid. I went to the house, with my mom, on the day we had to officially be completely be out, and we cleaned four five hours..My mom helped them clean window sills, floor trimmings, vacuum the floors, etc.. Our neighbors surprised us by cleaning out our entire kitchen counters, floors, fridge, and the bathroom down there. We're talking about people I've known for 7, 10, and 15 years. On top of it, throughout the time living at our place, my parents would randomly send us pizzas for dinner, or jimmy johns, etc. Went out of their way to make sure that not only me, but my roommates had an extra special pick me up for a the night. Am I in the wrong to be beside myself? /rant

Sounds like you need Hammer's Shovel™ for all three of them

More human interest than hockey. A kid has made a questionable decision that has a chance to negatively impact the rest of his life.

Clearly the parents are absent or as messed up as the kid.

Tragic...
You must spread

Mavsy- you obviously are a grown up before you are supposed to be. Maybe you should have taken pictures and sent them to their parents (who obviously did a fine job of raising the knuckleheads)

They're not paying you for utilities because you weren't around to clean up after parties you weren't at?

I'm guessing that the roomies are "charging" him his share when he wasn't living there, and also maybe that cleaning was part of the roomie agreement. Agreement not fulfilled, then no payment for utilities.

Posted this in the Extras thread, and I'll post it here. My dad was just involved in a car vs. human accident. There was someone in dark clothes crossing the street, didn't see them until the last second, and sent him right into our minivan's windshield. Called to let me know, so he's okay. However, we don't know the status of the person he hit. And that's what's scaring me.

I bet he's fine. I was fine when I got hit. Seriously, hope everything works out.

I'm with you there. There seemed to be some info missing, or I'm not linking a few things together...

Of course I skimmed it so I might have missed something. My one take away was that MSUM students are drunk ***holes. :p That did not surprise me. ;)

Mankato math? :D

Because of stories like that I strongly discouraged Jr. from living off campus; glad I did. Way to much of a PIA

I lived off campus for 3 years, never had a problem like that. One year had a jerk for one of my roommates, but the other 3 of us were able to band together to get him to get his act together. Besides, it was a about 1000 times more fun to live in a house with a bunch of buddies than in a cramped dorm room. Its hard to fit 2 kegerators, a bar, poles, etc. in a dorm room.
