Yo.

Bacon/garbage eggs on the docket this morning, once I get caffeinated.

Morning Lodge.

Buncha errands to be run today then Jr has a hockey game at 4 in the ghetto (Brooklyn Park). Then church tonight as both Mrs and Jr are serving for Easter Vigil. Wonder if I can convince them my Vigil is Stanley Cup games on the tube....

Defiantly going to Easter morning Mass......even if the Wild weren't playing. ;)

Good morning Lodge.

French toast, locally made maple syrup, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee made via French press have been served for breakfast.

Slept in the tent last night. F n a it was windy. Gusts in the 40 to 50 range all night. The tent has been put through heat, cold, wind, pouring rain and heavy wet snow with no issues. It's bullet proof. :)

Good morning Lodge. Home for a bit. Went to my parents' house after work so Dad and I could go to Good Friday service. At the end of the service, the priest was like "Look, I'm a sports fan. But tonight, don't go home and turn on the TV to get a score - I know the Bruins are playing. Or watch an episode of your favorite show. Give God tonight." Walking to the car I looked at my Dad and was like "I get what he's saying, but it's the Stanley Cup playoffs." Got home to see that they LOST. And the Red Sox were beaten severely. Maybe the priest checked scores before his final words to the congregation because he was trying to spare us.

Need to do a few errands/banking/etc. Then it's off to the Friends of Hockey banquet, then back to my parents' house to pick up my folks to the Anastasi service at 11:30 tonight. Staying there as Easter dinner is at their house.

And please Wild - can you win one of the next three??? Because I just realized yesterday I fly to Denver on Saturday and Game 5 is there. I'd really like to go.

Didn't do nerf wars or watergun wars in high school. Closest thing we did was get into a cologne and perfume war at a Target. We were booted out of the store for that.

But you CAN play "Jump" by Van Halen on a demo keyboard, quite loudly, and be fine. Just sayin'. ;)

A prime example of Murphy's law today. My brother has had his 76 corvette over at a shop in Tecumseh it tuned up. They got it running last summer after a engine swap, but its timing wasn't quite 100 percent on. Anyways, it also kind of turned into free winter storage for him as they didn't get to it right away. He got a bug up his *** about bringing it home today if they were not working on it. Turns out today that they had just pulled it into the shop. Happy about that as I didn't want to clean out a spot in the garage for it, and well, I do currently have my chicken chicks in an old water tank right next to where that beast would be parked in the garage. That would scare them senseless.

My dad got a call from one if the Mavericks thanking him for his season tickets purchase and support this year. Stressed the importance home ice had for them, etc. (16-1-1 at home.) I thought that was really cool.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

So...what part of Murphy's Law applies here?

Eh, I just found it amusing that he was *****ing about them not doing anything to his Corvette and was so determined to bring it home today if they still wasn't doing anything to it yet. :p

Busy day today. Tomorrow will be another long day. Easter Egg Hunt with the kids, then off to my bro's inlaws for Easter dinner (sans kids; they will be with the ex), then back to The Rubette's (her official name now, since she joined GPL under that name, yes on her own accord) for dinner with the kids.

It was kind of funny watching my mom bond with the fiancee. They've only been around each other a couple times, so today was a "really get to know you" type of thing. My pops and I just sat back and talked guy talk while they did their thing.

OK seriously Wild fans. I just need your team to win ONE game so there is a game five next Saturday when I'm in Denver. Because I'm going if there is. Do you have any faith that will happen?

You're asking MN pro sports fans for optimism. Good luck, you'll reallllllly need it.

If they find a way to stop that MacKinnon jerk from breezing through the neutral zone, maybe.
