Aren't you the one that always said that you don't work with a forklift? It's more of a fork-scooter, isn't it?

We have both. At the main building, the forklift is rarely used (maybe once a week on our shift). At the off-site, it's used maybe 1-2 times a day for an order or two. Usually it's the fork-scooter. 2000-3000 lbs is probably the upper limit of the fork-scooter, though, and at 2000lbs/pallet of ice melt, it's easier and faster to use the forklift for when days like today happen.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Anxious today. They are going to run some tests on my dad to see the course of action they are going to take.

Filter in my office blocks as "pornography".

What the hell links are you posting wT?

I searched "Sochi" and "fail" and that link came up.

The link has a picture of a toilet with a sign saying "do not put toilet paper in toilet"
A picture of the minimalist accomodations for the Canadain hockey team (a room with 3 twin beds, 3 small night stands, and plain white walls).
A picture of a toilet stall with 2 toilets (no divider, privacy unnecessary)
A picture of glasses with yellow looking "water" and comments about how one shouldn't use on their face.

It isn't porn, and if it were, it certainly isn't the kind I'd watch. I apologize for posting such deplorable links.

Hey, LP's "accommodations" are now used by inmates. Step up or down? ;)

Mornin' y'all.

I can't believe all of the problems with these Sochi games and they haven't even started.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

All indications are that the corporate jet will be taking off as planned. Thank Parise. I have work to do on the house in preparation of the appraisal for my refi. Can't afford to lose any days.

It is looking more an more likely that a trip to South Africa and a trip to Ecuador are in the works for me. South Africa is nearly a sure thing at this point, and Ecuador is being discussed by my superiors as I type this. One of them really wants me to go, for legitimate work reasons, and I think the others will agree, it will just depend on if the budget can handle it.

The international sports organizations need to stop being "fair" in placing these games and look at reality. Can the host country actually be depended on to be ready in time, can they afford it, will conditions be acceptable for the athletes? Summer Olympics in possibly the most polluted city in the world (Beijing)? Not a good idea. World Cup in Brazil? Maybe not a good idea. Olympics in Sochi where there is no existing infrastructure? Bad idea.

I completely agree. As an NHL star, I would be very tentative on even wanting to go to the games. They had to hire extra security to be with them at all times.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Good morning Lodge! Yes, it's morning here in LA. Glad I decided to change my plans to get out here. My flight was at 8:00am Thursday morning and while I think odds were not bad that it would take off, I didn't want to take a chance of not being able to get here. So when I got to the office yesterday I called the travel desk and rebooked myself on a flight last night. Staying with my brother till I check in at the hotel on Thursday. They did wind up closing the office today. Sounds like the worst of it hit righ during morning commute hours.

It's in the low to mid 60s here but people are walking around in down or wool coats. Sheesh.
