Didn't hear about next Thursday - yikes. I changed my flight and am heading to LA tonight and taking the red eye home Saturday night/Sunday morning so I don't have any weather-related issues. Thankfully I am not traveling next Thursday though others are. I should let them know so they can think about changing flights.

We had a presentation about "the implementation" that was going to be coming down the line for PE. They decided that they need to take another look at the solution because it would require anyone who uses the system to have 300+ hours of training to learn all of the modules. :eek:

I was tapped on the shoulder to be a Super User for our group. Should be a tremendous experience but it's going to be a significant amount time and the detail in the training is incredible. Developing & implementing training specific for our processes & products will be a challenge.....think generics. :eek:

I asked for a cape but don't think I will get one...

By the reaction of people down here, to this snow that is falling, one would think it is the apocalypse. Kinda ****es me off. I have several meetings scheduled tomorrow with people down here, work that needs to get done face-to-face, you know, the reason I flew down here, and now people are saying they can't make it in to work tomorrow. :mad:

goldy, I know what you were going for ;)

monster, no Delta miles, but I'm banking Mariott Rewards right now.

bbdl, you are in luck. We shipped out a ton of ice melt to IN today.

In fact, we shipped out over 1000 boxes of ice melt today. Why? Somehow, WE WERE THE ONLY FRIGGIN' BUILDING IN OUR COMPANY NETWORK TO HAVE IT. We sold every box we had; had to call in two special pickups at the off-site today for all of it. So, you're welcome southerners and easterners. :p

50K lbs of ice melt. *shakes head*

The kind of "ice melt" they need down here is not the kind that comes in 50 lb boxes, its the kind that comes in 5 ton dump trucks. :p
It didn't look like they were even trying to move the snow, and its not coming down so fast that they shouldn't be plowing...I'm a bit confused.

Considering I know for a fact we shipped at least 3 40-box pallets down there...it's a start. :p

I'm just amazed that no other building had any. We got all this stuff in just yesterday, as part of our normal delivery schedule.

But there was forklifting involved. :)

Aren't you the one that always said that you don't work with a forklift? It's more of a fork-scooter, isn't it?
