Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

My mom just posted a picture of the news vans waiting to meet their cruise ship. Their trip was cut a day short due to "dense fog" according to the cruise line, or norovirus. As far as I know, both my parents are fine.

WTH? Can they not tell the difference between dense fog and morovirus? Is it hard to see or are people puking their guts out?

I think a showerbeer is in order.

The HHT may be in order as well.

Good evening Lodge.

Just finished up a great dinner and dessert with the g family. Just kicking back watching some hockey while enjoying a tasty beverage. Pappy Van Winkle's Bourbon to be exact.

I hate you.

I hate you.

That's not what you said last night. :D

It is an awesome bourbon though. Is it wrong for me to drown it in coke? (No not really) Actually pound for pound I would put the brand Four Roses up against almost everything out there.

Four Roses is quite tasty. Pappy is just one of those things on my bucket list. The last "booze" bucket list item I crossed off was a 30YO Scotch (Laphroaig, FTR). Didn't buy a bottle, it was part of a scotch flight, in the UP no less.

Pappy is good. But I think part of it being good is the fact that it's such a rare thing to get (if that make sense). I am a big time rookie with scotch. I have a bunch of it but have yet to take the caps off. I would tell you what I have but you would hate me even more. ;) Crown is my preferred choice but Makers 46 is becoming a very close second. For the record.........Rolling Rock is the best beer ever. Game over. :p

Eh, I'm picky on the scotches. I prefer the Islays (smoky taste to them). For bourbon, I've become a huge fan of the New Holland Beer Barrel Bourbon. They age the bourbon in beer barrels after the normal process. :)

Is the New Holland a beer or a bourbon?
