Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Missed the game tonight. Had a very late reservation for Vera and I, (Oops reservations are needed on Valentine's Day. I'm new to this) but it all worked out. Left the phone behind, it was a place with no televisions, all that jazz.

Of course she didn't know that I DVR'd the thing and was gonna watch it right when we got back.

Sooooooo anyway, HHT.
Buzz kill for the poor lady.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Yo.

I'm glad my woman does not care one bit about Valentine's Day. Makes my job easier. :) Hitting up a new taproom in Buffalo MN tomorrow with a buddy. It's an Irish place, too. Kinda excited. And I'm loving the warmer weather we've been having.
We had date night last night. It was coincidental that it lined up with Balemtime Day. Granny's been here all week, so we took advantage of the free babysitting for the evening and went out for a nice dinner.

This Olympics has been one large bag of Opposite Girl. Sorry America.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Morning, all. We had the romantic Valentine's Day of a squirt hockey game (which the refs didn't show up for, so it didn't even count! ) and driving to and from an 8th grade dance. (And I've teed that one up nicely for you wits out there.)

I'm watching UNH/BU at the bar with my dad prior to the Mavs game.. Dave, mookie, Scarlet... I'm sorry.

Thanks. (I guess. ) I haven't been able to watch them live yet this year, so I don't know what I'm missing.

Well, it's a Buzzfeed thing that people are putting on their Facebook pages.

I got Ohio. In one way I suppose that's impressively close, since I'm from Indiana. In another, you always hate the neighboring state, so I was like, "What? Ohio?!? Oh man."

Building Information Modeling, also known as the trade name Revit by Autodesk, next generation of AutoCAD or Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).

Will that job exist in 10 years? And would somebody want to do it? (Sincere question, btw.)

Good Morning Lodge from the HHTx4, maybe 5 since the stinkin BADgers lost to the ****eyes. Gophers won both men and women, Jr's schools girl's team won to go to State, and then the US just won (hope that's not a spoiler for anyone).

I can't imagine that buildings will not still have be designed and modeled in 10 years. The software may change again, and again and yet again in that decade but I can't see what might replace it other than better software. This software is full 3D with discreet objects containing embedded data. In theory one can run a take-off program from it and get a full bill of materials for constructing the building. No one is making the models complete enough to do that yet, but that's the intent. It runs clash detection to make sure everything will fit and has capability for more intelligence. Now limited by machine power and the time to build everything accurately.

If they didnt get up early enough to watch the game, their loss. That was definitely worth getting up early for.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Good Morning, Lodge!

Was awake for the start of the USA/Russia game. Once the puck dropped, I somehow fell back to sleep. Wake up to the Russian goal being waived off.

On a different side note, company party tonight with an open bar. This should be interesting.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Valentines Day sucked. Had a reservation at a nice restaurant for 8:30. McCormick and Schmick's in Goldy's neck of the woods. Goldy warned me about bad service, but well, lets say that we ended up not even eating there. Got there at 8:25, the 7:30 reservations hadn't been seated yet. We waited around for 15 minutes before asking for an estimate of when we would be seated. We knew it would be late, but they wouldn't even tell us a time. They said "well, we just started the 7:45 reservations...." We walked out. Decided to find a place without a wait, ended up at Famous Daves. Decent food, but not McCormick and Schmicks good. Get home go to bed, wake up 2 hours later, my stomach is just rolling. I got food poisoning. Been dealing with that all night and this morning. Now I have the ****s and we're on the last roll of TP. I think there's a defcon level for this.

I wonder if all McCormick and Schmick's have bad service.

Tonight's game postponed. I'm glad as I was really torn about going. I was even considering taking public transportation. Now I hope the roads aren't bad by the time my hair appointment is done.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Good afternoon. Lil placed 6th in the sectionals. He was not happy- was seeded 3rd as one of the kids above him withdrew. Top 3 advance. On the other hand he ran his second fastest time ever.
Now looking out at more snow. Sigh.
Off to do the laundry

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Sorry les.

So senior day for jr's school's team. As manager he videos the jv goalie and today he's doing varsity too. Mrs and I came to watch. At jv game he told me "I'm going to be sitting with other people during varsity.". "Other people" is a cheerleader from his old school.

You think they have to email you? They needed to get the word out quickly to a wide audience so they used these newfangled tools call the arena's web site, the school's web site, Facebook and Twitter. You know, tools that are seen by many people very quickly, which is what they needed.

Watching the MSU-PSU game. They're playing Shipping Up To Boston. Talk about "not from Boston."
