Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

They're saying 12" of the heavy wet stuff for us. Oh joy!

Last night they said 8" - 10", now it reads 6" - 8". That's a good trend. It does feel that we are going to get something and it's been cold enough that it should stick. I wonder if DC has run out of salt for this year. All the old salt washed away in the rains over the past week.

The WCHA thread is unreadable. Pink Pony arguing with that davy guy is like two retarded puppies trying to hump each other. That is before Donald drops in.

Our Charlotte location has been going crazy, freaking out to their bosses about not being able to make it into the office today and tomorrow because of the 10-15" of snow. Weather(dot)com has their forecast at 4-8". Wow, these people are sad. I understand that's a lot of snow for them, but to overreact the way they do, it makes you want to reach out and slap somebody.

It has finally climbed all the way up to feeling like 0°F in Duluth. Might get heat stroke.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Found a direct flight from JFK to Guayaquil, on TAME (Ecuador's national airline, I guess). It isn't listed on any of the standard websites (Travelocity, Expedia, Kayak, etc), but there are flights listed on TAME's website. If they're flying into JFK, they should legit, right?

Morning, Lodjrz.

Talk quietly to the team manager . . . Feel free to e-mail me through this site if you need ideas on it.
At the squirt level, I'd rather play 20 games or so than the 35 allowed . . . As goldy stated, if you ever have any questions or whatnot, please shoot me an email through USCHO and I can do my best to help you.

Thanks fellas, I will; I appreciate it. My guess is our process is quite different from yours. :o

Howdy Lodge. Freezing cold here today but sunny. Not sure what we're giong to get here in Boston tomorrow. Further outside the city they're getting a foot or so. Depends where the rain/snow line is going to end up. It may be about 36 in the city so it could wind up being just a huge mess. My parents fly home from a two week vacation in Florida tonight. Nice weather to come home to. At least they should be able to get in tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Yeah, I'm sure there are tons of nice courses in freaking Ecuador....

High end resorts pretty much have to have a decent golf course, if nothing more than something else to put on the website. Either way, gotta be currently more playable than anything around here.

Morning all, the freezing fog has lifted and Temps are back to the positive side.

One, it's Ecuador. Two, I doubt he's dragging his bats halfway down the globe to take that chance.

Yeah, this is true. Not bringing clubs to Ecuador. There is a golf course in the town I'll be staying in, I have no idea how much of a goat ranch it is.

Just submitted my international travel request. Apparently Ecuador is a "High Risk Destination", so who knows if it will even get approved. It should....since this is pretty important work that needs to be done so we can release new ratings.

So far this morning the "predictions" are for 4" to 18"+ to locally isolated 24" accumulations. I'm glad they've been able to narrow it down.

Now 4" to 8" and changing to rain. :)

Yeah, be sure to check all the updates. State Department, too. We were travelling in Laos and my daughter (who was 9) came down with some freaky tropical fever. We had to put her in a cold bath to get her temperature down fast. While my wife was helping her I checked the US State Department's website for medical advice and it said, "Laos is a developing country, and medical help is not up to western standards. If you have an emergency you should try to get to Thailand. There is a Friendship Bridge between the countries, and officials will usually let you cross without a visa if you have an emergency." Fantastic!, I thought. I can see the headlines now: Dad Knew He Was Taking Family To Malariaville, Still Didn't Check To See If Hospitals Even Existed There. :o (My daughter pulled through.)
