Scarlet -- after I first say good luck and take care of that foot! -- check out this headline from the Minneapolis paper this evening:

Dunkin' Donuts outlines plans for about 50 Minnesota stores

Hmm? Hmm?!?
I wonder what has changed that makes them think it will work this time (not saying it can't)...

In the past 20 years I have only ever seen one DD store in person. I was in Rome.

I do remember seeing one in Eagan when I was a kid, but my parents never bought anything from them.

Oh, and HHT. :)

We got our first DD in Madison a little over a year ago and people went crazy over it.

I grew up with them in the Chicago area and have no idea what the fuss is all about. Our grocery store's donuts are much better.

Yeah, for them its more about the drinks. I wish they had more variety on the muffin, bagel, donut end... when you get out of new england its really hit and miss in terms of what they have on hand.

Good morning Lodge. Should be an interesting day. Weather is meh now and will move to downright crappy later. Outdoor work event on Boston Common today starting at 11am. And I do have a ticket to Frozen Fenway later on. I looked at my ticket, which I bought months ago and saw that it's in the State St Pavillion, which is up high and I believe covered, so that's good. Still, it would be best for all involved, especially the teams, that they put off the games till tomorrow.

Foot is still sore.. I soaked it for a bit, then had it elevated with ice, took some Advil. Felt better before I went to bed. Woke up to it being sore still. Looks a little swollen. I really do think it's a muscle thing. I feel it more when I flex it. And the boots I've been wearing this week haven't allowed my foot to flex properly. I'm going to wear sneakers today and see how it feels.

*HT- FFF (Frozen Fenway Farce) was not good to us. Happily I was first taking photos at a wrestling meet then taking down Xmas decorations.

FFF- the second game is having a rain delay (the pics are hysterical- standing H2O in the stands) with the radar showing no chance of a let up. BU losing so far. HE is fixed!!!

Just turned it on tv, this is hilarious.

Afternoon Lodge. Went to a high school game on an outdoor rink today. I'm going to have to dress much warmer for the Gopher games on Friday. The ice looked outstanding in TCF Bank Stadium.

Jr's school is one of 9 playing today (one school has both boys and girls going today). BSM lost 4-1 in spite of a large edge in play. Tonka's goalie was very good and BSM's not so much. May be their undoing in post season play. Now Jr is off to manage the JV game.
