Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Is this a math thing? Because I was told there would be no math.

Sorry for your loss, Hammer.
Yesterday I hear from the other room, "Mum, I need help." I walk into the living room and there is lil at the computer. I say "What do you need?" He says, completely serious, "I need help with my physics homework, this equation..." I didn't hear the rest because I was howling laughing. I don't do math when it isn't involving medications or body stuff. I have never taken physics in my life. He is in Honors Physics. I guess I should be flattered to know he thinks I am infallible enough that I can figure out something just because I am his Mum?

I don't think I could help with honors physics either and I do math for a living and did lots of physics in college. But it was too long ago now. My kid asks me detailed chemistry questions from his bio class and my response is "I used to know that but it was 30 years ago" (or more).

If any of my potential future offspring ever take Honors or AP Physics, they better get a tutor. That's the only high school class I ever flunked.

I'd take a crack at it. Then the kid would hate me after receiving his failing grade.

In truth I did pretty well in physics. The only thing that kept me from getting a degree in one of the hard sciences is that I would have had to take biology. It sucked in 10th grade, it would have sucked worse in college.

I didn't have to take physics Thank God! (not blaspheming, totally heartfelt!) My brother is the whiz at all this stuff. Mr les is tolerably good at it. I am useless. He is taking anatomy and physiology. That I can help with.

Good evening Lodge.

Sorry for your loss Hammer.

Can't believe it's October already. The year is flying by.

And amazingly, despite it being Tuesday, today did not suck.

I loved Honors Bio in 9th grade. I should've taken AP Bio instead of Physucks. Ah well, irrelevant to my current career.
