Good morning Lodge. I'm "on vacation" today and tomorrow as I fly to Michigan in a little bit. However I will probably be checking email as often as I can. Seriously, I'm done going on vacation because there is always an issue happening.

They've got to add a feature where you can report spammers on a smart phone.

I received it from a manager whose group I support, and he got it from Facebook. The only time I'm reading reviews is when I'm looking to actually buy things.

Do you think airlines will ever catch on to passengers who check bags at the gate because they ask due to lack of room do that on purpose to avoid paying the checked bag fee? I have to think they know people purposefully try to do that, like me.

Well, Spirit makes passangers pay MORE for a carry on/gate check bag, than they do to check a bag at the counter. So unless the major players follow that, than it's doubtful anything will happen.

I think Spirit started charging fees for carry-on bags. I know I try to stuff everything in a carry on if I can to avoid a checked bag fee. I think if they didn't do the checked bag at the gate it would take even longer to board planes with everyone trying to stuff their bags into the overhead, and there wouldn't be enough room. So if they're going to not charge for a carry-on they should continue to do the gate check.

I occassionally wonder how much extra time is spent in security and boarding/de-planning with carry-on luggage as opposed to when checked bags were included with the airfare.

I usually check a bag. Never pay to check a bag. If I do carry-on, I just get on the plane early enough to ensure that I have space in the overhead bin.

AT&T has a number you can forward the spam text to. They text back and ask for the number that sent the spam. It seems to work pretty well.

If you're on Android, Avast for Android has a number blocking feature and it's free.

There has to be a bad accident. Can one you Michigan peeps check for me? Or tell me where to look? I'm on 94w just past 23. We haven't moved in 10 minutes.

I just learned today that there's a stretch of I-94 near Detroit that the locals call The Penetrator. I don't know why they call it that, but they do. I'm curious if there's a stretch of road in the actual city of Detroit known as The Incinerator.
