Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

I share a birthday with my grandma, and the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes offspring.

Gameshows? My trivia team was accused of cheating Friday because a guy on our team knew the original name of "Wheel of Fortune" which I believe it was only called for the pilot episode, which never aired.

Shopper's Bazaar?

Don't press your luck with me.

/one of these days Ten Chances will break the zero rule and g-r.net will riot
//my God, what have I done?

They've already broken the 0 rule a couple times with the first prize. 2, 5, and 7 were the choices.

I was actually banned from g-r.net about 6 years ago.

Shopper's Bazaar?
Yes.

And I thought I was surrounded by nerds at Sunday's softball game when the people around me starting cheering for/chanting "Fibonacci" since Michigan's score by innings was 1 - 1 - 2. Unfortunately, they scored zero in the 4th inning, but did score 3 in the 5th which lead to an "interrupted Fibonacci" cheer.

Oh, we also had a guy dressed up like a Storm Trooper come play cowbell with us. It was an exceedingly nerdy afternoon.

I once was the only one in the bar that knew the Surgeon's Photograph was of the Loch Ness Monster. I got a high five from the host.

Incorrect. Shopper's Bazaar was hosted by Chuck Woolery. Edd "Kooky" Byrnes did pilots 2 and 3, and by then, the name had been changed to "Wheel of Fortune".

Afternoon.

I like game shows, just not as much as these nerds. :D I still catch the Drew version of The Price Is Right when I can.

I tried watching a few weeks of Drew, and couldn't stand it. Of course, I'm one of maybe four people that actually liked the Doug Davidson version from 1994.

I am so tempted to drop a link to TVTropes in here right now. You all would be stuck in here for the next 37 hours.
