Had shoulder surgery yesterday at 11:30. Nerve block is starting to wear off now. Weird feeling. Narcotic pills are next on the docket. I'm sleeping in a recliner for the foreseeable future. Doctor's orders.

I remember sleeping like that. My surgery was minor compared to you though. Did they give you a drug pump? I had a deal for the first day or two where I could push down on this thing and it would shoot more local right into the site.

Morning, Lodge-O.

Time for the Lodge Reply Game: Rapid-Fire Round

If you were enrolled at Faber College it'd be the equivalent of being on double secret probation.

Double Secret Probation, sir?

:D

I like 'em whether they're wooly or not!;) // Out by the fire on the lake. My goodness I forgot how peaceful a fire, a beer, and listening to loons can be. // ETA: golf in the morning, and then I'm going to try and slay some spawning walleyes!

That's the MavH we like to see!

Can't wait to be by the lake hearing the loons--

As opposed to in here. :p

Late morning today. Haven't been feeling great the past couple days so I slept in all the way to 5:35 and taking it slow. It'll be as low day with half the office and many clients gone for the holiday.

You know, gin and tonic was invented as a curative.

I had a CT scan yesterday, which wasn't a blast, but wasn't terrible either. The worst was having to drink 24 ounces of a substance which cannot be described accurately at this early an hour. Good luck with your recovery, St.C.

Hmmmmm, a cousin (not sure what kind, his mom is my second cousin I think) has a blues band playing at a saloon in St. Paul tonight. Wonder if the Mrs would want go see them?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Anyone have a kayak or roof rack they want to donate?
You should buy a small portable space heater for wherever you store it.
That way you can have your kayak and heat it too.
*runs*
Word on the street is that you already have a decent rack.
I told this story to a coworker and now he is spreading rumors that my "water broke".
I haven't had this much fun reading previous pages in quite a while - and I didn't even mention all the jury duty and half-blind hit and runs!

Lucky for us, Casa de Wolverine dodged Oklahoma's weather on Monday. Sunday's tornado actually passed a lot closer (1.5 miles south of us), but caused less damage (including one fatality). Counting blessings here.

Here's a good site to start with if you want to make a donations.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Just noticed I've got a yellow chicklet from Board: "Insulted Other Member(s)" Never gotten that before. :D
I have one of those from over a year ago. Apparently even though it "expires" it never disappears from your settings.
Gentlemen! Details, please! What do I have to do to get a yellow chicklet of my own?

I love the Faber College motto: Knowledge is good.

IIRC in my case, I insulted another poster by questioning his intelligence. I didn't name-call or anything, it was along the lines of "You can't be that stupid, can you?" or something like that.

I do remember it was a train-wreck of a thread anyways, and I'm pretty sure there were some vacations handed out.

They don't yellow chicklet anymore. They probably did it as a form of ban points.

Chez Rube is finally prepped and cleaned and ready for the guests that will be visiting over the course of the weekend. And two, two, is the number of stores in the past week or so that have no more Odell's Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout (hear that, les? :) ) thanks to yours truly. And since it's a winter seasonal, there will be no more coming in. Yep, this weekend is starting off quite nicely!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

No, they didn't give me a drug pump, I just received a script for oxycodone. I was also told that I could add in ibuprofen as needed, taking up to 4 of those pills at a time, which sounds like a bed time thing to me. I'm starting to miss the nerve block, though. Also, I was told that I can't shower until Sunday, so I bought some baby wipes.

And this one-handed typing sucks. This is something lkike a five minute reply.

Just wait until you get the urge to slay some spawning walleye! ;)

Pay attention, dip5hit. You have to insult another poster.

Ditto. I asked dubbie exactly how farging stupid he was.

Yes, they do.

Huh. I have "(0 Points)" next to my yellow chiclet (and always have had that points total there).
Ditto.
