Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Last steak Saturday on the boat. Probably the 3rd best day on here, closely behind the day I get off the boat and pay day.

Gonna be a rainy couple days in whiskey land (TN).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Morning, Lodge-O.

My question is, would it be wrong to have multiple themes? This year's Derby is on 5/4, which some of my nerdy friends call "Star Wars Day" (May the 4th be with you). The next day is Cinco de Mayo. So, I'm considering a Star Wars fiesta Derby day. Is that too ADHD of a theme?

Phew! That is a lot. I say pick two, with one being The Derby. In fact, just pick Star Wars. That gives people the ability to have a Cinco de Mayo party on Sunday. :D

You could also have an Easter theme since Easter is on the 5th.

Cinco de Christo!

Mrs and Jr are volunteering at a function in a downtown hotel so I'm sampling some happy hours. So far the Beefeater and tonic at Porter and Frye is why better than the T&T at Hilton. Cheaper too and the sweet potato fries are good too.

Haven't made it to Porter & Frye yet; thanks for the tip. I'm assuming you know your drinks and fries. :p

Morning, yo.

It will be a day of errands and household chores at Chez Rube, followed by a quiet, relaxing night in this fine weather.

Good morning Lodge. Got back to walking this morning, and walked outside. Because it's a beautiful day here!

We're all taking my dad out for his birthday today. At 2pm. That's actually not because he's up there in age, but because my sister-in-law has plans tonight.

Good morning Lodge.

Breakfast has been served. Crepes, sausage and fresh fruit.

Finally..........some decent weather here in 320ville. Before yesterday we did not have one day over 50 degrees. Yesterday we hit 70.

Had some friends over for dinner last night. NY strips and sweet potato fries were prepared on the grill. Washed it down with a couple bottles of fine wine. Enjoyed the sunset out on the deck.

Today looks like another great day for weather. The g boys are already outside playing.

Tonight we are meeting up with some friends for dinner then Hair Ball. Should be a fun night.

Good morning Lodge. Jr is off to confirmation retreat. Time to wash down the screened porch for the season opener. Messy job but needs to be done.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Morning Lodge, beautiful day on tap in the 906 south, raked and fertilized lawn last night, already took the dog rollerblading this morning. Now, onto the garage.

My lawn has some pretty compacted (high traffic) spots and could use a good overall reseed. Any recommendations if i should aerate the lawn first, wait a couple weeks and then reseed or reseed now and aerate in the fall after the need seed has had summer to take hold?

Prediction: Unranked Michigan upsets DU, and ASaaG too.

Hey Wolf-er-een Boy,

Final score:
DENVER 12
Michigan 4

Denver scored the game's first goal before Michigan took a 2-1 lead nine minutes into the first quarter. Denver then scored the final four goals of the half to assume a 6-2 lead at the break. Michigan scored the first goal of the second half before Denver scored three straight goals--all while being a man up after Michigan took a two minute penalty for crosschecking to the head.

Denver outscored the Michigans 3-1 in the fourth quarter to coast to a 12-4 win. Michigan's goalie was outstanding in the first quarter of the game as he made eight to ten saves in the game's first fifteen minutes. Pioneers might have led 6-2 or 7-2 after the first quarter had it not been for the U of M goalie. The quarter ended 2-2, but from that point on Denver outscored its opponent 10-2. Nice to see Michigan start a men's lacrosse program and I look forward to seeing the Pioneers play them annually as an ECAC opponent.

You do realize he was just playing with you... I mean it'd be really annoying if I pointed out that

DENVER 2013 MEN'S DIVISION 1 ICE HOCKEY NORTHEAST REGIONAL SEMI-FINALIST

OR

DENVER: WE MANAGED TO LOSE TO NEW HAMPSHIRE

In short, knock it off.

Mrs is prepping a couple lobster tails while I get ready to grill some veggies. A couple more T&Ts and we'll be set for dinner and a movie (Wild on TV in the meantime).
