Has anyone here ever shipped stuff internationally? As part of the global engagement plan for our FIFA World Cup sponsorship (which is national to our company in Brazil), we are sending a soccer ball to almost all of our offices across the globe to get the country managers/presidents to sign it. It literally just left my desk and is heading to Canada for the first stop. I'm fearful it will get caught up in customs because I didn't fill out a form correctly or something.

And not for nothing, what a gross, miserable day. I am leaving at 4:45 to go get my drink. I will need it.

Well, I shipped my entire house -- twice! (I know, that doesn't count, we had a relocation firm take care of most logistics).

OK, seriously, I've only done paperwork -- the kind of packages that go in the DHL envelope, nothing like a soccer ball -- but that seems straightforward. How many countries are involved? Are you going anywhere tricky, like Iraq, or North Korea, or anywhere near the equator?

And since the package is already gone, what advice can we give anyway, girlfriend? :p

We are shipping to 24 countries, but it's going from one to the other. I'm not shipping it myself. I'm just arranging for the shipping here and emailing out the waybill and the commercial invoice to the person in our location that will package it up and ship it out. So you can provide me plenty of advice! Once it's done in Canada (provided it gets there) it goes to Portugal. There are tricky countries. One of our regional marketing guys in Asia/Pacific just emailed to ask if they could oversee the ball travels and have someone hand deliver it to be safe (i.e. China, Thailand, etc). I was kinda hoping that was going to be my responsibility this year - kinda like the guy with the Stanley Cup. :) Sadly, that didn't materialize.

They won't accept it if the paperwork is messed up. I have had to redo paperwork when I needed to ship stuff and it wasn't right.

Good evening Lodge.

Regarding the DI side and the MN vs BSU threads.......I find it funny that 80% of the posters wouldn't know a "beaver" if it hit them along side the head let alone know what to do with one. Stick to the right hand boys. Stick to the right hand. ;) :p

Funeral is this Saturday. It has been a tough week. Can't wait for this weekend to be over.

Breaking the ice here, but work has been VERY slow the last two days. VERY slow. Only reason I can think of? The HS hockey tourney. Not. Kidding. Busier than heck Mon and Tue....Wed? Nothing. Today? Beyond nothing.
