Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Now to find out what has been posted on the Minnesota-BSU thread.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

Morning. On a rescue mission. Bringing another one of our boats to shipyard due to engine issues. Was quite the interesting night due to the chain of events.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

Morning Lodge.

See? the weather terrorists got it right, snowmageden! That's enough to make DC roads impassable, isn't it?

Not sure, but the half inch of salt can corrode anything. ;)

I should add the early this week the newscasters were calling this one Snowquester. Hopefully the idea of naming snowstorms won't continue, or if it does, it will be done in a way similar to the way hurricanes are named.

Could someone explain the story behind state of hockey wearing an RPI jersey as it appears on the UM-BSU thread? I assume that he didn't attend RPI.

He's a Minnesota State head IIRC. I wasn't on the Houghton trip, so that's all I've got for you.:p
Beginning the long treck back to Minnesota.
Safe travels, sir!
I really do hope somebody is taking screen captions of that thread, so that it can be saved elsewhere.
This. I was serious when I asked.
This point you make here is why it is so special. To me, anyway.
Oh definitely. It's an awesome way for you guys to end your last WCHA regular season!

Morning all! Headed up to St. Paul here in an hour. Very excited to watch some of the best high school hockey in the country the next couple of days..

He just likes RPI/the jersey, I guess. The rest of it ties into the video clip I posted in that same thread.

Oh yeah. Youth hockey finally done for the year. Jr's team lost 4-1 last night. Kinda glad it's done. Didn't like this team make-up and chemistry. Got worse at season's end. Won't miss the drive to freaking New Prague tonight we would've had if we'd won. And again tomorrow if we won then and the next day.

Listen, when anyone else in this city cares enough to celebrate Greek Independence Day on the 25th, maybe I'll give at rat's *** about St. Patrick's Day.
I'm a Scot. According to my mother the Irish are supposed to be persona non grata....of course Mr les is part Irish, but he could care less.

I thought I had a funny joke that tied together some kind of Greek-Scottish theme -- but it's just not happening. :o

Who is Mrs. Murphy?

Your mom!

See you at the X today?

There is definitely a "I'm glad not to have to think about this season any more" feeling.

At the last squirt game of the year on Monday, we had a great moment right at the end of the game, and it would've sent us all away with a little something. One minute to go, down 6-0, and one of our guys tries for a breakaway. Two defenders come at him, one from each side. They formed this 3-person furiously skating mass. Our guy actually jumped in the air, knees high, like a running back trying to break free from two safeties, and he got free. Just as he's ready to shoot one defender dives, tries to swipe the puck, and trips our guy. Penalty shot, no question, and our guy scores. Exciting! No shutout! Great effort rewarded! Time to go home! Except they drop the puck for the faceoff, their center takes it straight to himself, skates right up the middle, and scores. Then they line up for the faceoff, their center takes it straight to himself again, skates right up the middle, and scores. They get two goals in nine seconds. Bam. End of game.

There's not enough whiskey in the world, I'm telling you! :o

So you're saying your team's centers aren't the equal of Bryan Trottier when it comes to faceoffs, eh? Okay, I can see they might need some work. :D
