Shirtless Guy, Biddco, and I discussed it, and we decided that Brent is completely wrong about strip clubs. Having a half naked girl pretend to like you is great. So, it was a productive evening.

You aren't presenting my full opinion. PAYING a female (half-naked or not) to pretend to like you is my issue. :p

So, cousin and his big friend Brian just left. Old TV in second bedroom in my car to go to Best Buy tomorrow morning. Big huge tv in living room now in second bedroom. New flat screen assembled. Just waiting to Comcast to arrive to hook it all up. Technician dude called said he'd be here in 10 minutes. Let's see how long it really takes and how long he will be here to get all of this working. Because he is not leaving until I can turn everything on and record stuff.

Mornin', Lodge-Os. (With tomorrow being St. Pat's and all you should read that opening with the appropriate accent. Like the menacing captain in LA Confidential. Or the same guy as the farmer in Babe. Either one.)

Here in the Club Room having dinner pre-game. Rode up the elevator with a guy wearing a BC national champions hat. Wanted to ask if he knew his team as playing and why he was here instead. And thought of the new BU thread title in DI and laughed.

Poor bahstids just can't quit us!

To Hell with chocolate milk I want a milk shake!

Dang girl, you went to TOWN. :D

Wow... it's bad enough to wake up after a loss, but to have the wrath of Scarlet hanging overhead as well... :o

Ah, but you know what will make it worth it? The make-up text.

Thank you! I'm here all week!

Comcast guy still here. Something is wrong I think. Why is this all so difficult???

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

He probably realized he was in the presence of a Smokin' Hottie and just wanted to savor the moment... ;)

*blushing*

Actually, I think he was a little scared. He comes in and says "Here to install one box" And I said "No, two. You're supposed to replace the one in the bedroom. It is a Comcast DVR. But that's what I was told on the phone when I set this up." He totally disagreed, said the order was just this one. I showed him the TV in the other bedroom that was just moved there and that he would have to hook up the cable, etc. The new cable modem was there, didn't want to set it up before he got there. While he's setting up the cable modem, he's on the phone with whoever who tells him what I told him, that he needed to replace the box in my bedroom. It was all I could do to not say "Did I not tell you that????"

Naturally, he doesn't have a second one of those boxes. I kept quiet though if he told me he would have to come back I would have erupted. Seriously, I had a 20-minute conversation with them when I set this up and wrote down what was going to happen today and he shows up minus one of those things. If they were going to make me change my plans or take off of work when I specifically asked for this to happen today, well, there was going to be some complaining. Thankfully he was able to contact another technician who dropped it off. All things considered, he was done before 1pm, so that was good. I have stuff to do today d@mmit!

You're such a slave-driver. ;)

With regards to Comcast and setting up my TVs, **** ****ing straight I am. I pay them a LOT of money every month. And every time a technician has to come, something is always off. They have gotten much better from a time perspective I will say that. But really, to not have the second box when I was told I had to have it annoys the ever living crap out of me.

Good Morning Lodge.

Going to watch some youth hockey today before going back to Mariucci to see the Gophers send the Beavers to the golf course. Might see if I can stop in to Ridder and see if I can find a ticket to see the Lady Gophers end the Lady Whioux season as well. :)

On the youth hockey front, our association is hosting the State Peewee and Bantam AA tourney (new this year, used to just be A). Our team got tabbed to work this tourney as our "volunteer" commitment. Some future superstars out there including the sons of a number of former NHLers.

I bet the hockey there is just crazy good. That would be fun to see.

I'm the same way when it comes to paying someone to do a job. I make sure everything's correct, and everything's the way I want it.

Now that it's all set up, you might want to get some of those tags for labeling home theater cords. Or use duct tape, and write on them something like "Cable box out to TV HDMI 1". That way, when you need to have your carpets cleaned, floor buffed, a new TV or whatever, you don't have to wait on Comcast's techs to perform a new setup process for you.

Cluck Farkson, Scarlet!!

Coming into New Orleans today. Couldn't see that boat that exploded, may not have been close to where I was or may have been cleared up.

In all fairness he probably has a work order and he does what the work order says

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

I assume you made it home though?
Yep. Had to have my car towed and they won't be able to get to look at it until Monday. I also don't think the guy wrote it up right. Luckily, they know our family's cars at this place...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

But the question is why didn't his work order match what the system said when he checked with them.
