Morning Lodge.

So Clown, are you getting Dr. Buss to do your shoulder?

And bigmgr, I had my right shoulder done and don't recall that being any more than a minor inconvenience as part of my rehab. And by the way, the word you were looking for is "dominant" not "dominate". My right hand is my dominant side, although it can dominate.

You have a long way to go if you're going to try to fix bigmrg's issues with the English language.

I found out last weekend who will be playing back home at the small town beer drinking festival that MNS and I went to last year. The last 2 years have been Sawyer Brown and Craig Morgan, this year they stepped it up a notch again and booked Trace Adkins. I can't imagine how huge of a party that is going to be.

No, I'm going through Dr. Robert Hartman. He's no Buss, but he's in network and highly regarded, from what I could find online. Add to that, I told him how I injured it during a hockey game, and he showed me where a puck split his lip during a league game of his own. The success rate for the surgery is 97%, which has me pretty much at ease with the procedure and my long-term prospects. The only thing grabbing my attention is the 4-6 weeks in a sling. It has me thinking that it might be time for me to reconsider my affinity for cars with manual transmissions.

As for bigmgr's dominant hand question, it's my left shoulder that's getting sliced and diced, and I'm right-handed. The ass wiping will continue unabated. ...Thanks for your thoughts and concern...about my ass.

Afternoon, Lodge-O.

Scarlet: Love you babe, but this sequence made me laugh:

Went to the press conference . . .Got a little choked up . . . Lots of former players there . . . Though there wasn't any food

:p :o

Back from possibly the saddest wake I've ever been to. 17 year olds (daughter's grade school classmate) apparently took his own life. :(

Wow GE, that's terrible. Sorry to hear it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

I thought I saw scarlet in a snipet ont the local news covg of Jackie but I wasn't sure.

You probably did. I had to keep moving to get away from cameras. There were a lot of them there.

Oh Tuesdays......

If that shoulder is your dominate hand side, the worse thing to figure out would be how to wipe your own butt with the other hand. Don't believe me, go ahead and switch it up which hand you use to wipe. tell me it just doesn't feel weird and awkward to maneuver thru it.
I have a cousin who fell out of a tree as a young teenager and broke both his arms. I'll leave you to connect the dots on that one, big.

So I'm considering a Costco membership. Have a few friends with memberships, their store brand is generally good stuff, and overall they run a good business.

Only problem is I'm not sure I'd recoup enough cost to be worth it. Where are the savings at for someone like me? Being a single working stiff in a 900 sf 3rd floor condo I have no use for 50 pounds of Rice-A-Roni. I understand they sell car insurance, travel bookings, TVs, etc. as well. Anyone with a membership - worth it?

We have had a membership for many years - and there are just two of us that we buy for now. It definitely pays for itself, especially if you buy just one high-ticket item, like a TV. Their return policy is great - just bring it back and no questions asked. Don't even need a receipt.

Go door to door and sell the Rice-a-Roni. :D

I don't know how much of various products you use, but my brother and his wife said they get great deals on things you wouldn't expect. They're paying something like $1.50 - 2.00 per gallon of milk, and the store brand milk is good; they're milk snobs, if such a thing exists, and they like it. Target's store brand milk around here goes for just over $2, but it doesn't taste very good. Kemps, a local name brand, goes for about $3.50 per gallon around here. Also, there's the fuel discount. If the store had a location that was closer to me, I'd probably have a membership myself. As it stands, it's some 15 miles or so away, too far away from me.

To the single person, you'd save a lot on laundry and cleaning supplies.
