Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

HHT: Solid win for minny tonight, little close than I'd prefer but still solid.

Good news: Son got into the London study abroad program at CSB-SJU
Bad news: Parent meeting 3/16 on campus. Means I miss the St. Paddy's Day parade in Capital City, daughter dances at Landmark Center, Guinness, Jameson......grrr...
They don't do Sunday parades?

When I worked in St. Paul, that parade would pass right by my office building - the original Pioneer Press building at 4th & Robert. Once that thing started up, there was no work getting done. It might be the loudest parade in the state.

It's Saturday this year, not sure why other than the liquor store lobby wanted it. :)

Ah, yes, that makes sense. It is St. Paul, after all.

This state really needs to drop the blue laws.

Which all that is weird, since St. Patrick's Day is actually on a Monday...

(Anytime the 17th is on a Sunday...St. Patty's Day is moved to the 18th)

And in any which way, people will make the unofficial party day the previous Saturday.

Seems like MN just is just giving money away to neighboring states.

BUT EXTRA DAY OF WORK! (uh, you don't HAVE to be open, you know). Honestly, open up an hour later on the other days, there's at least 7 more manhours for Sundays, and even then, I bet you could be open from say, 10am-3pm Sundays, and you're fine.

Oh ****ing great!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Just found out that Dad has locked Mom out of their joint accounts at the bank. Like its not already toxic enough living here Dad? And he's the one that should be freaking moving out of the house. It would be so much nicer without him here. If its not one thing its another with them two. And its not them settling their issues at all with the divorce at all. Just more of them just sulking in their own respective corners of the house here. I just need to get out of this place. Its just not healthy.

Been there, done that. Not nice. Makes you want to tell both parents to grow up and behave like adults. Unfortunately adults have the capacity and the tools to be nastier. I hope your Mum has a lawyer! (My dad did something similar and it didn't turn out well for him) When I look back at what my parents acted like I can't believe the crud they pulled.
