The Hyatt Regency is gorgeous, on of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. But it has a huge security fence and barriers around it and on the other side of those barriers is complete chaos and dirty as all hell.
So what you're saying is it's like Detroit?

Sorry Mark
It's ok as I don't follow the women's team. Was rooting for 'em, however. Bobcat Pride and all, ya know? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I decided to try and make avgolemono soup on my own today. My mother had come over last month to walk me through it. It's not that hard but it does require some work. I remember when my mother started making it and it was never as good as my grandmother's and we would tell her that. She asked!!! It wasn't like we were trying to make fun. She'd be like "I watch her make it - I don't know what she does differently!!" I would tell her that she must have turned her back and my grandmother would throw some magic yiayia dust in it. Anyway, now she (mom) makes it really really well. Her recipe calls for, well, a vat, because she would be cooking for the family and we all inhale it and want it for leftovers. She halved her recipe and that's what I used. I thought I did something wrong but I had it for dinner and it actually came out much better than I thought when I was making it.Now I have dinner for tomorrow and probably a few other nights, and lunch if I so choose.

I'm having a glass of wine right now. I think I'll have some Girl Scout cookies to go with it.

For some reason, the previous generation's recipe always tastes better. That goes in my family too, with my great-grandma's lemon cake w/glaze or my other great-grandma's peanut butter cookies/apple pie. (yes, I was lucky enough to have both great-grandmas live to very ripe old ages: 95 and 101)

Hi gmann. Hi everyone. I am so glad I am done this stoopid prednisone now. I feel like I am on speed. My brain is like popcorn in a jiffypop pan. And the walking dead might be the stoooopidest show evah.

That would actually be "That 80's Show." Or "Cop Rock."

Morning all. Going to meet my coworker for breakfast soon, then we're planning on exploring the city for a while before we have to catch our ride to Pune at about 3:00. I'm hoping to find a market where i can buy some hand-made souvenirs.

An NCAA quarterfinal at home. This is going to cost some money.

How the heck to SCSU fans take: "I will not be surprised by any result this weekend" and turn it into "I think that SCSU will be swept"?

Got to the hotel. Finally. Been traveling forever it seems. Luckily customs was a breeze and the hotel is right next to the airport. The parts of Mumbai I've seen so far are on completely different ends of the spectrum. The Hyatt Regency is gorgeous, on of the nicest hotels I've stayed at
But it has a huge security fence and barriers around it and on the other side of those barriers is complete chaos and dirty as all hell. Should be an interesting trip. Oh, I got a 5 course meal in business class. Death to economy fares!!!!

Alright, i have to be up in 5 hours. Sleep time.
How are the steaks there?? ;)

Ummmm.... Jersey Shore and the rest of the reality shows of that ilk for the win.

Thinking things are going to end soon for me and the girlfriend. She's starting to pressure me for the ring and I'm feeling that she might not be right for that kind of commitment and all of that details. Not to mention the mess I'm dealing with here at home is kinda making me sour on the whole idea of the institute of Marriage.
