Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Good Morning Lodge.

Couple inches of fluffy snow right at the start of the commute makes for a bit of a mess. Took me 40 minutes instead of 25.
Took me 60 minutes instead of 30 this morning. 15 of them were to go 1 mile on I-94. whee.

Morning Lodge.

I'm excited to go see a performance of "Twelfth Night" in Ann Arbor tomorrow. The poster says, "English accents, Tomfoolery, Iambic Pentameter". How could it not be awesome? It's an all male British cast. If it's really good, I might go see "Taming of the Shrew" on Sunday.
Looks like they'll be in Minneapolis next week, I'll let you know if it's as good as I think it will be.

And the third winter since I have retired is winding down, still without a snowfall greater than an inch. I have been looking forward to watching everyone trying to drive to work while I could just stay home. Of course, with my luck, I will have a dentist appointment or something whenever we get a lot of snow.

You don't know what you got till it's gone.

Someone in this office might be just about to find that out for themselves.

Morning, guys. How we doing?

Norovirus sucks, its knocked the crap out of me literally

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I'm getting a cold. Massive zinc consumption the next couple days to try and hold it off.

And I convinced my 9 AM meeting on the other side of the cities (St. Louis Park for the locals) that I could conference call in. :D

Yep, light snow here, no biggie. Having some folks over tonight for the MN game, and got word last night about a hockey road trip in December (a game date was leaked, apparently, no, it isn't Tech-related). :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Heavy sleet woke me up at 5:30. County hadn't plowed main roads as of 7:30. Other than that the drive wasn't bad. Still gotta get used to FWD. Can't put the Fusion in 4WD and drive right down the middle of the road like I used to with the truck.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Greetings Lodgeonians. Happy Friday. It's clean up day in the office today. On March 1st, they're re-stacking all the cubes and are cutting all the double ones (like mine) in half so we have to throw stuff out and re-arrange, etc so we can fit into our new, smaller cubes. I have way more stuff in my cube area already. No idea where I'm going to put stuff.

Home game tonight. First one in about a month. Tomorrow's game up in Lowell - in jeopardy, based on the storm. It's going to be a mess, but it might not be bad till after I'd make it home. It will most likely be a game day decision for me. Would hate to miss it. It's really not that bad of a ride but in bad weather, it's just too far away.

Morning, Lodge-O.

I don't miss supercilious pocketbook queens either, just sayin'. :D

I was told there would be no vocab. :p

As a public service message, I want to let you all know that today is National Margarita Day!!
Margaritas! for everyone!

Ahhhhhh, tasty. Thanks, Unc!

I'm excited to go see a performance of "Twelfth Night" in Ann Arbor tomorrow . . . Looks like they'll be in Minneapolis next week, I'll let you know if it's as good as I think it will be.

Cool! Thanks for the tip. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Had my phone interview earlier this week with the bank, now I have an in person 2 hour interview on Wednesday. I guess I am meeting with 4 different people. I am leaving the company unnamed simply in an effort not to jinx it. :)
