I'd highly suggest getting an external hard drive to make future transfers of data all the easier. HDs are pretty cheap now, too. You can get a quality external 1TB HD for under $100 these days.

I do have one of those. I think it's 1TB. If not, I know it has more space than I'll ever have a need for. I backed up all my pics and songs on there, and I don't even think it's a third full (at most).

My father was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon. I jumped on the first flight to Hilton Head this morning. Things are not good. I am here offering my support and soaking up what time is left. Saying good bye Monday is going to be tough.....................:(

The only good thing is that I am currently sitting out on the deck. 64 degrees. Shorts no shirt. The ocean is right there. Top shelf scotch and a Cuban cigar. (Neighbors are walking buy dressed like its winter)

Brain is numb and i am just trying to grasp what the eff is going on.

Edit. .........it has been pouring most of the day. The rain has just passed and its heading towards you right coasters.............

We lost my dad 4 years ago at 66. It's easy to feel shortchanged with the experiences that you'll never share, but it's important to remember everything that you have been able to share.

I'm waiting for the call on my grandpa. It sounds wrong, but I've been prepping myself for his passing. He's been declining quite a bit over the past couple of years. It's gonna hurt hard, that's for sure. Big time dementia, and becoming physically frail.
