That sounds so cool!!

Last Christmas celebration ended about an hour ago. Whew. Half of them showed up with the serious boogie nose. It was good to see everyone but I wanted a mask. Part of me is relieved to finally be done. The other part of me quails at de-Christmasing the house.
I'm still not ready to take the Christmas tree down. It looks nice standing in the corner...

I have enough common sense to not put up an decorations that I have to take down. My girlfriend wanted me to get a tree...we compromised on me letting her put up a few window clings.

Wow, Scrooge. :p My tree came down on New Year's Day.

Happy Monday folks. For a Monday, it's not too bad. Hope I just didn't jinx myself....

After a two days of work last year I am back to the grind. My grad school classes start back up, I have had a month off but it feels like it was two weeks. Time flies when you don't have to worry about school.

On the bright side I can look forward to bringing my new laptop to classes and using it for homework.

Ha! You know darn well that you're not going to be getting your homework done while in class, or using it to take notes. You're going to be screwing around in here while in class.

I don't understand the point of decorations. If I want to see a tree, I'll look out my window, there's hundreds of them out there.

Ever get the feeling walking into work that, no matter what happens, you just won't be physically able to get anything done?

That's what I'm feeling right now.

Morning, Lodge.

I have enough common sense to not put up an decorations that I have to take down.

I like your approach. Next time my wife calls me lazy, I'll just say I have common sense.

edit: This being the internets and all, I suppose I should add :p

The only thing I put out for the holidays was more garbage. I didn't decorate a thing. I'm there, living alone, and I've got something of a backlash going against my the decoration blitz my mother did. She'd make it so you couldn't use a side table or coffee table because they were completely covered in X-mas decor. No thanks, I like my tables to retain their utility.

Ok Scrooge McDuck.

Regarding Christmas and decorating, we keep it fairly level headed at the g household. FWIW I do own a pair of s&ss that light up, if you know what I mean......... ;)

bigblue, just wait until you have kids. I guarantee you will turn into Mr. Christmas. :p

Hey, knock it off - there is tree in North Dakota!

You might have mistaken that for a telephone pole of a fence post.

North Dakota - so flat and treeless that you can watch your dog run away for a week.......

So, I took a look at some exit listings, and the idiots that numbered I-781 forgot exits 1, 2, and 3. They went right to 4. At least I don't think they plan on three more interchanges...
