Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Morning, El Lodge-o.

Yesterday my not-glamorous freelance musician's life had something special: I played at Joe Mauer's wedding. I didn't meet any ball players, but the parents all came up to the balcony to thank us, which was cool. And, frankly, it's always cool to play a wedding.

Now it's back to giving lessons to kids who don't want to be there. :p

Very cool. Two really nice families, his mom and dad are wonderful people as are her parents (my nephew is married to one of the sisters and was an usher) - I think all the bride's siblings were married within the past year. And from St. Paul is a small world department, my sister's sister-in-law (Beth) was probably hanging out with you, too. :)

I just saw a tweet from Buccigross that he got married. Did anyone during the toast say "Well played, Mauer"???

Up and out shopping, spaghetti sauce simmering, bathroom cleaned, laundry in the machine. Now I need to iron and catch up on the last two shows on my DVR. And some more cleaning and picking up. I want to get my Christmas tree out of storage but need to clean up the space where it goes first.

What do you play?

OK, so somehow I've got the mobile view on my laptop. Other than going to the drop down box in the bottom nav bar on every single page, how do I get back to the regular view? It's happened before but I can't remember how to get it back.

So this year we are supposed to get a bottle of something for the gift swap... I'm going to bet that its a $10 limit. Any good ideas... This is a gag gift kind of group.

A pint of something, obviously. Or a bottle of Boone's Farm. Or if it's a $20 limit, go with a fifth.

Go to something like Tractor Supply Company or some other sort of Tack store and get a riding crop. With all of the "50 shades" fans out there, odds are somebody would find that awfully useful. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

I have been contemplating getting the kids a video game. Not sure I want to go there and I am also not sure if little g would be able to manipulate the controller.

Anyways.....for those in the know. A friend has a wii for sale. Console, two controllers, two nunchuks, dual charger, balance board, activity mat, two guitars, zapper gun, then games. I think there are 12-15 games. $125. I thinks that's a good deal.

Also, if say the console has memory is there a way to reset?

Dunno about memory, and not completely familiar with the Wii, but if it has the Wii Sports/Resort Games (archery, windsurfing, bowling, etc) I think it'd be good for Little G, because of the simple hand/eye coordination of the games, as well as being really fun with the nunchuks. I had a blast playing those games, and I'm an idiot when it comes to anything newer than something like Pac Man or Space Invaders. ;)

Remember who you are talking about...
True.

Sitting at MSP, Terminal G. Bar here has New Belgium 1554 on tap, along with some other good ones. Going to get a little drunk before boarding, so I can fall asleep right after they serve dinner on the plane. Have to drive directly to the customer site when I land tomorrow, so I need to get at least a little sleep....on a plane...ugh.
