Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Just got word.....neice admitted into hostpital last night, I should be a great-uncle by the end of the day. :)
Yeah me!
Congrats

I think I know who it is! (I think we've already talked about how I'm friends with her husband, small world, and all)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Holy hell. I got back today, I had an out of office notification up on my phone and email from November 9th through November 25th. I was in the office today, November 26th. Now I just put up my next out of office notification for November 27th through December 16th.

Jeeze you're old!

Well, duh.

Congrats

You are correct and nothing yet. In fact, we were talking about you Wednesday night my sister-in-law's (and soon to be grandma) house. I told our friend he should try KBC beer and, in fact, it had been recommended by you (and Brent).

Well, work is a cluster**** this morning. Too much **** going on.

Plus, I got here, and someone had came to my desk, taken my phone and replaced it with some huge monstrosity of a phone with a digital screen and about 50 buttons, like a receptionist would use. I lost all of my voicemails from when I was gone for 2 weeks because apparently my voicemail wasn't setup anymore. And the phone they gave me doesn't have a headset like my old phone. I got ****ed, submitted a "help ticket" to IT and told them to fix it, because I don't have time to deal with it. Surprise, no response from them yet.

You know, if they pulled that on me I just might have the stones to ask what's going on in person.

So, John Buccigross just had a speaking engagement at BU! I was there in second row. And got a bucciovertimechallenge tshirt, for a donation! He was great. I think he'll do a great job at the Frozen Four.

Which would work, if there was any way to actually contact one of them in person. Everything has to be done through the tickets, that's how their job performance is determined, and unless you actually know them in person, you have no idea who to contact for help.

that's our IT... you call to register a problem - they tell you they will refer the problem to somebody, and magically i get an email telling me the call center has solved my issue!! :D they have great metrics

I'm a great-uncle! My wife can't believe she's married to such an old man.... :)

Same here in the land of tape.

I called our help desk today with an issue. Since I am a smartazz I started the call by saying "I have been buying stuff all day online and my computer has really slowed down a bit this afternoon, can you do something to speed things up?" The person on the other end being a typical help desk person did not think I was funny.

Can it be the 6th yet? Please?

And this NFL game is kind of painful to watch.

Of course this is where I'm glad all voicemail goes to e-mail.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Good Morning, Lodge!

It is going to be along day at work today. My supervisor is out sick which makes me in command.

So it'll be a long day for everyone else at work? ;)

Jr's travel tourney is this weekend in Duluth. Found out the BSM girls JV and Varsity are in a tourney up there too. He learned yesterday they are in the same hotel as us. Nothing bad could come of this, could it? He knows a girl on the JV and one on the Varsity (one freshman from English, one senior from French) and one of the assistant coaches is his learning lab teacher (fancy name for study hall).

So you are going to sit in a chair just outside his hotel room all night? :D
