Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

OMG!!!!! I'm going to be on Extra!!!!!! With my friend Maria Menounos!!!!!! Pulled three fans to ask Ted Danson questions and I was one of them!!!!!! It airs tomorrow night. It's syndicated so check your local listings!!!! :)

They gave me the question to ask but I started off saying I wanted Sam Malone to come out of retirement so he could either pitch or help manage the pitchers. When he said "Not sure if that would be a good idea as Sam was an alcoholic" and I said "have you SEEN this Year's team?? Chicken and beer!" hahaha!!! :)

I wondered when you were going to go "EEEEEEEEE!!" on here. :p

OMG!!!!! I'm going to be on Extra!!!!!!

I thought I had heard of this show. Had to google to be sure, guess it's on WB, a station I don't think I've ever watched. I will have to go set the DVR if I can find the show...

Sounds like that was her choice and that she knew that it was her time, that she had fought as long and as hard as she could for the quality of life that she wanted. Both my Dad and Grandfather made the same choice, that lingering in a nursing home or hospital away from loved ones wasn't worth it to prolong their lives for just a few months.

That doesn't make the grief any easier to handle. Even if they don't have a service, I'd suggesting heading home to spend time with your family.

Yep, she was able to pick her time, not many people have that choice.

I did struggle to make the decision to stay here or head back, but in talking with my Dad, we both agreed that there really isn't much that I'm going to miss. Just some hashing out of possessions and the administrative stuff between her 3 sons. I will see about maybe getting up there in a couple weeks, or at the very least when I originally planned to get up there at thanksgiving.

Looks like the whiny brat JD lied to us and isn't over anything. He dinged me for saying the obvious to him last night.

So I can't find it on Direct TV. I even checked TV guide listings and they don't list Extra. What am I missing? Is it on-line only?

I have Dish. Extra is on Dish channel 29 and is a local cityslickerville channel called WFTC.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

I found it and set the DVR for 10:30 tomorrow night to see if Scarlet gets on it.

Your mom lives close to Brent?

That sounds like more of your neck of the woods. I have old white people and polite Africans (not "African-Americans" aka "brothas/sistas") in my complex. Quiet as a church mouse up in here.

Good Morning Lodge.

Which DirecTV channel is it on?

It's a local station here, the local WB station which is 29 in my list. YMMV.

So the bantam tryout groups are posted. Jr is disappointed, as are Mrs and I, with the group he is in. That would be OK and I would assume he had a bad showing in one of the grading drills, except for the rest of the list. There are often a few head scratchers, but this year it is beyond ridiculous. Jr is in group 3 of 4 with 1 being the best group. There are two kids he just finished a clinic with that are in group 1. Jr is flat out better than either of them. These two kids are going to get embarrassed by the kids who belong in group 1. There are three other kids he has skated with in the past and this summer who are in group 2 and again he is better than them, in one case by a lot. I am Jr's harshest critic, not a hockey dad who thinks his kid is the next Gretzky, but I know these kids. There is another kid in group 3 who should be at the top of group 2, if not group 1. Another kid fell to group 4 and he is also a group 2 kid. It is absurd, I don't know what the hell they were looking at at the grading session.

Things I don't miss. Good luck to T!

My neck of the woods? Almost everyone on my street is an old retired white guy, except me and the neighbor to the west, and he's within 5 years of retirement.
