Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

Grandmother has decided to stop all treatments, nurses don't expect her to make it through the night. Has had some labored breathing and she told my dad she is just beat, tired of fighting. No services, direct cremation so no reason for me to go home really. Sucks.

Prayers for you and the family.

BBQ pork ribs, mashed potatoes and corn for lunch.

Sure it's a Boston Market frozen meal :D , but actually, the other one I had was decent.

Passed at 1145 eastern peacefully. She'll be joining my Grandfather up there somewhere.

Sounds like that was her choice and that she knew that it was her time, that she had fought as long and as hard as she could for the quality of life that she wanted. Both my Dad and Grandfather made the same choice, that lingering in a nursing home or hospital away from loved ones wasn't worth it to prolong their lives for just a few months.

That doesn't make the grief any easier to handle. Even if they don't have a service, I'd suggesting heading home to spend time with your family.

Just found out that my mom's made an offer on a townhouse, can't wait to get away from all the drunks, bullies, and crazies that live in this neighborhood. I feel bad for the poor suckers who will buy this house.

Good morning Lodge. Yes, still morning here on the left coast. Took myself out to breakfast as my brother is at work. Apparently Shia LeBeouf was here yesterday. Of course he was. Famous people are never at these places when I'm here. Today I'm headed to the Grove where they shoot Extra. Maybe I'll see someone there. At the very least I can do a little shopping. Tonight is dinner in Beverly Hills at Mr. Chow with a friend from work who moved out here in April. Need to pack as well. Oh, did I tell you my rental car is a white Ford Mustang?...

Your mom lives close to Brent?

OMG!!!!! I'm going to be on Extra!!!!!! With my friend Maria Menounos!!!!!! Pulled three fans to ask Ted Danson questions and I was one of them!!!!!! It airs tomorrow night. It's syndicated so check your local listings!!!! :)

They gave me the question to ask but I started off saying I wanted Sam Malone to come out of retirement so he could either pitch or help manage the pitchers. When he said "Not sure if that would be a good idea as Sam was an alcoholic" and I said "have you SEEN this Year's team?? Chicken and beer!" hahaha!!! :)
