Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

I've got mostly Craftsman hand/mechanics tools, so that's good news to me. I'll need somewhere to redeem my lifetime warranty. I'm at the point where I wished I would have splurged for Snap-On when I was younger, but I wasn't really in the position to do that.
One can never have too many tools, and its not like you couldn't upgrade your current stuff and just keep the Craftsman in your garage or back home at the farm.

Hey bbdl, our cummins engine on the boat has **** the bed. Well, not quite, but we are only using one of the engines. Water leak out of the inboard turbo. Getting it fixed in the am at dock hopefully. Not what I wanted to wake up to this evening after sleeping horribly in the evening yet again. Thankfully I have today and a wakeup left before I head home/Yankees games.

Actually, Pittsburgh has a lot to do downtown where all of the arena's are. As a bonus the airport is never busy. So you can get through it literally in minutes.

I'm not sure what weather is like here in April. But when i visited last April, there wasn't any snow, and it was fairly warm.

I have never been anywhere east so it wouldn't hurt my feelings to check out a new place.

SFIS, maybe she wants to see the Whioux play. If so she's making the better choice. :p

She does want to watch the Sioux play but we can't go to both! :p

Morning.

East of Seattle? :p

Pittsburgh is much more in the midwest than it is an eastern town. It's west of Penn State, and just SE of Cleveland.

Good Morning Lodge.

Morning. Just acquired Yankees ALDS home 1 and 2 tickets, hopefully it's the kiss of death.
;)

Hope they go the way of your bum engine. :p

In other news my FIL in PA fell down the stairs last night and fractured C2 and C3 and has a gash on his head. He's 87 and Mrs Goldy has been trying for a year, or more, to get him to move. He needs to go to a senior housing, assisted living, or something, or in with family. We've offered to take him in but he has refused to even discuss these things.

He has fallen a number of times and has to use a cane or walker because of bad knees. He has a pacemaker implanted. My wife found him by phone last night. She calls him every evening and when she called last night he said "get Bill, have him send an ambulance" Bill is my BIL who lives in the area. If he could answer the phone I don't know why he couldn't hit 911 himself. He also has an emergency alert medallion that the VA gave him but, of course, wasn't wearing it when he fell. I doubt he ever wore it.

Anyone know a good assisted living facility in Wilkes-Barre PA?

Coolant leak on in the turbo is a fairly easy/minor problem to fix. Hopefully it is just a gasket on the high pressure side coolant line, where it bolts to the turbo housing, but it could be a bad seal in the turbo itself. Worst case is probably a new turbo. What size engines do they have on a boat like that? QSK19's?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

After asking my counsin to confirm some info I had, I got a bit farther with my dads family tree. Turns out some info is hard to find for a couple of reasons. His Grandfather died when his father was young, and still in Czech. Also the hall of records there was destroyed.

Despite that, I think I've pieced together some other parts, because his grandmother remarried (to his brother i believe). I dont know that i'll ever know his grandfathers name though.

Since I hadn't been to a nats game all year I was thinking of going until I saw the 1:05 start.

Should be on Marriage certificate. Most marr certs have space for both parent's names but if that is missing death certificates might have it. If you know siblings search for those if the point person is missing.

Well last night the only reported issue was numbness in one leg. Hopefully they can stabilize and no further issues from the fx.
That's good.
