The answer is simple. You tell him he is free to survive with the one car- You will drive him where ever it works out for you and he can get to work however and you can pick him up after he gets out..... I am with bb_dl- get a clunker or see if anyone in the family has a clunker that will last a little longer that you can take off their hands.

I agree. Get a clunker or try to lean on those close to you if that is an option.

FWIW and my .02 worth and I am by no means trying to judge your lifestyle but maybe now is a good time to review your budget? Are there any monthly expenses you can cut back on or eliminate all together? Eating out, cell phone, cable, internet.........

We have been reviewing and reviewing. It doesn't help with a combined $75k in student loans. Mr. wore Black pays extra. He might scale back. I have already said we have to stop eating out on weekends. Even future trips are looking grim as money is getting stretched further and further. Thus looking for a second job.

Actually, the last time I bought booze was for a benefit that I was donating along with a wine tote. I haven't had a drink in about 2 months.

Completely impressed with Vermont. We drove through areas which had been devastated by last year's flooding and most all roads are completely rebuilt a year later. Amazing.

As far as the right coast goes........I have spent considerable time in NYC, DC ,Montreal, Vaudreuil, Sherbrooke and Quebec City. Someday I would like to spend time Seeing the Eastern Atlantic states.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #155: Back to School

Thank God there was nothing on tonight. Out of the blue, I got a message on my TiVo that my box was not activated. Um, yes it is. And has been for 2 1/2 years. I had no program guide and couldn't set it to record anything. Called TiVo, was on hold for a while. Finally got a live person. Did a few things and then I had to re-connect, etc. Took a good half hour or more. Then when it was back to being activated, all of a sudden I was having an issue with a bunch of channels - either the signal wasn't coming in at all (screen said it was "searching for signal") or the picture was really pixelated and choppy. Called TiVo back as I assumed it had something to do with them since I just re-connected, but their support shuts down for the night around 9pm. Are you kidding me??? So I called Comcast. The guy was asking me for the serial number on the box. I told him I had two cable cards which are inserted in the TiVo box. As I was looking at the TiVo box and touching the screen, it cleared up. There was still one channel that I wasn't getting but the picture was clear on the ones where it was all pixelated. Comcast Guy told me he figured out the serial numbers and sent a signal refresh. Yay!! So, I hang up and start watching and lo and behold.....it's all pixelated again. GRRRRRRR!! I need to call TiVo tomorrow. I hope someone is there first thing in the morning.

Mom and Dad to the rescue. I haven't told Mr. wore Black, yet. I feel a sense of relief that they are willing to help us out.
Thanks for the email. I will definitely look into it.

Maybe you should hold out on him a bit, let him sweat the idea of only one car. ;-)

You obviously have never met either of the Wore Blacks. One of 'em would be dead if that happened.
